I'd like to introduce a fantastic Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) restaurant near Sinnonhyeon Station, specializing in handmade noodles.

The day before, I had a bit too much to drink, and I desperately needed a hangover cure. This place was exactly what I needed!

Bongge Jjamppong offers a wonderfully spicy and addictive broth. If you're looking for a great place to cure a hangover, I highly recommend visiting!

Today, I'm introducing 'Bongge Jjamppong'.

A dreamy moment

Bongge Jjamppong

Address: B1 Floor, #1, 23 Bongeunsa-ro 6-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul

Located 242m from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 4.

Hours:

Everyday: 10:50 AM - 10:00 PM (Last Order 9:30 PM)

Break Time: None

Important Note: Hours may vary due to holidays or unforeseen circumstances. Please check before visiting!

Bongge Jjamppong is open from 10:50 AM to 10:00 PM every day.

It opens relatively early, making it a great lunch option for office workers in the area.

Special moment

It's easily accessible, being within a 300m walk from Sinnonhyeon Station. However, be aware that the road has a somewhat steep incline!

** Restrooms are located inside the restaurant.

The interior of the restaurant is very clean and well-organized.

They have seating options ranging from single-person tables to tables for four, and even larger group tables, making it suitable for solo diners and larger parties alike.

Beautiful view

There's also a self-service bar, so you can easily grab more side dishes if you want!

Bongge Jjamppong Menu

The menu is available at the entrance. The Jjamppong options feature seafood-based broths, including crab and clams.

You can choose from four spice levels: Mild, Spicy, Hell, and Underworld. Please refer to the table below:

Hopeful tomorrow

I've heard that Bongge Jjamppong's Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) and Cream Shrimp are also delicious, but since I was there for a hangover cure, I'll have to try them next time!

Bongge Jjamppong (Original = Mild)

₩12,000

Since I'm not very good with spicy food... haha, I ordered the Bongge Jjamppong (Original).

Special moment

It came with kimchi, pickled vegetables, danmuji (yellow pickled radish), and individually wrapped utensils. I was really impressed by the owner's attention to detail and service!

The broth was rich and spicy with a savory aroma, and there were plenty of chunky handmade noodles and seafood.

A dreamy moment

Even the original was a little spicy for me, but it was a delicious kind of spice that was incredibly addictive!

It was the first time in a while that I had truly delicious handmade Jjamppong, and it completely cured my hangover from the night before! haha

Great picture

I'm planning to visit again, and next time I'll definitely order the Tangsuyuk or Cream Shrimp too.

Thanks to the owner's consideration and kindness, and the clean restaurant, I was able to enjoy a pleasant meal!
