Daebang-eo Sashimi Experience
The first dish served was the daebang-eo sashimi, and I was instantly captivated by its appearance and thickness. The beautiful pink and white marbling made it look incredibly appetizing!
The freshness of the fish was undeniable. I quickly grabbed a piece, added a bit of wasabi, and took a bite. It melted in my mouth! The rich flavor of the fish was exquisite, especially with just the right amount of fat, making it not greasy but packed with umami.
Tongyeong Steamed and Fried Oysters
Next, the Tongyeong steamed oysters caught my attention. They were plump and flavorful! The fact that they stayed warm in the pot was perfect for a cold day.
I dipped the oysters in a special sauce, and the texture and ocean flavor were delightful! I’m not usually a big fan of oysters, but these were delicious.
The fried oysters were also fantastic. They were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The batter wasn't greasy, and the savory flavor kept me coming back for more.
DIY Sushi and Overall Impression
As for the self-made sushi, it was a clever addition. With the basics provided, we could mix and create our own sushi to our liking.
Every moment spent enjoying the meal was a healing experience, and I definitely plan to return. The quality of the fresh ingredients and the generous portions at such a reasonable price are truly commendable!
Overall, this place is highly recommended for anyone looking for a great dining experience in Gimpo!
