Anju Village: Honest Review After a 7-Hour Wait!

Hello!
This is Mukjjang One Fine.
I finally visited Anju Village, a place I've wanted to go to for so long!!
Here's my genuine, paid-for review.
Operating Hours & Location
<Operating Hours>
Monday - Saturday: 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Closed every Sunday
<Waiting>
Catchtable in front of the store at 10 AM
Remote Catchtable queuing from 3 PM
Waiting Tips
We signed up for the waitlist around 11:25 AM, and after looking at several blogs,
we expected to get in around 3 PM.
So, we started drinking beer at a nearby place from 3 PM... but
I guess people didn't postpone much because it was raining that day.
We ended up waiting for about 7 hours and got in after 6 PM.
T^T
And they said they start letting people in from 12:30 PM, but
our wait time started decreasing from 1 PM.
I think this depends on the store's situation!
Weekend Waiting Tips
✔️ No matter what, do an open run at 10 AM...!!
Walk-ins are possible from 10 AM,
and remote Catchtable queuing is available from 3 PM.
The turnover rate isn't great because there aren't many tables.
✔️ Don't waste your energy moving around to different places,
have a first round at a nearby restaurant or bar.
We ambiguously drank beer thinking we'd get in soon,
so we moved twice, to a beer place and then another restaurant,
and ended up spending double the money T^T....
Protect your wallet.....
✔️ Utilize the two postponement options.
I didn't use the postponement option,
but it could be useful.
It really doesn't decrease after 5 PM,
so I recommend postponing it little by little!
Menu & Review
The items in red are popular menus, and
we ordered the most frequently ordered items.
Salted Herring Roe Bibimbap, Live Halibut, Pollack Roe Tofu Stew, and Baby Clam Pancake
That's what we ordered for the three of us.
Basic side dishes!
Salted Herring Roe Bibimbap (11,000 KRW)
Salted Herring Roe Bibimbap you MUST order!!
Honestly, it's a can't-go-wrong combination, so I was looking forward to it before eating,
and it was more delicious than expected.
The combination of salted herring roe and water parsley was so fragrant,
and it wasn't too salty or sweet, which was great.
And eating it with seaweed created a great balance,
so I was very satisfied!
I could see why it's so popular.
I recommend it as a must-order item.
Live Halibut (28,000 KRW)
It's my first time eating live Halibut.
Why am I eating this only now..??
The legs are lightly grilled with a torch before serving,
which enhances the flavor even more.
The body is soft, but the legs have a chewy texture,
making it fun to eat!
Live Halibut is also a must-order item,
and I completely understand why...
I highly recommend the Live Halibut!!
Pollack Roe Tofu Stew (22,000 KRW)
There wasn't much to order as a stew, so I ordered the Pollack Roe Tofu Stew.
The soup was spicier than I expected, and it had plenty of ingredients.
Compared to other menus, it's not a definite MUST-TRY!!, but
people who like Pollack roe will probably like it.
Baby Clam Pancake (28,000 KRW)
When you're drinking, you need something greasy, right..?
I was really looking forward to ordering it,
and it was definitely worth it.
First of all, the baby clams are big, and the combination with water parsley was great.
It's the perfect thing to order at the end after eating seafood.
I highly recommend this as well!!
There's also an Anju Village store nearby,
so if you fail to get a table,
try buying salted herring roe and eating it at home..!
I'm planning to go buy some soon too.
It's the first time in my life that I've waited 7 hours,
and honestly, I got annoyed thinking,
is it worth eating it this much........ Yes...
But as soon as I ate the food, I forgot everything..?
I will definitely revisit!
I recommend you to do an open run and try it.
