Today, I'm sharing my experience at Hyeongje Special Meat Cuts (Yeonnam Branch), a restaurant specializing in unique cuts of meat that I visited while exploring Yeonnam-dong.
I'm a big fan of these special cuts.
It was such a treat to have them after a long time!
Let's get right into the review.

It's an 8-minute walk from Hongik University Station (Exit 3)!
As you stroll through Yeonnam-dong, you'll arrive at...

The answer is meat.
It was a clear answer, indeed.

Inside Hyeongje Special Meat Cuts (Yeonnam Branch):
The interior is clean and quite spacious.
Already famous as a 맛집 (delicious restaurant) in Guro.
The Yeonnam branch is newly opened!
I heard that the restaurant was created by meat experts with 20 years of experience.
My expectations are rising!
They even have their own aging cellar.
I thought it was very fascinating.
The restaurant is generally very clean.
2nd Floor of Hyeongje Special Meat Cuts (Yeonnam Branch):

There are seats on the second floor as well, and it's also very spacious.
They are open year-round, only closed on holidays.
They're open until 1 AM except for Sundays, so it seems like a great place for company dinners and drinking.

There's also a large menu board inside.
They sell both pork and beef, so you can enjoy a wider variety of options.
While there are many Korean BBQ restaurants,
it's rare to find places that specialize in these special cuts.
Making it even more valuable.
Also, they have a diverse selection of side dishes, which is even better.
We ordered the "Pork Platter," 된장찌개 (Doenjang Jjigae - Soybean Paste Stew),
and "Drug Bibimbap"!!
These are the side dishes and sauces that come as a base!
I like to try a variety of things.
And I was happy that there were plenty of sauces and side dishes.
The pickled chili peppers were the best.
And this is just my personal preference.
But I like Korean BBQ places that offer wasabi.
I think it's a sign of a Korean BBQ restaurant that truly knows flavor.
Kimchi to stir-fry, and
Green onion salad and seasoned lettuce to enjoy together!

This is Korean beef yukhoe (beef tartare) with minari.
The owner kindly brought it to us as a promotion for the opening.
The meat quality was excellent, and the minari had a wonderful aroma.
Being able to eat Korean beef yukhoe like this...
I recommend you go before the opening event ends..
Pork Platter (52,000 KRW):
Consisting of 500g of kkodeulsal (pork neck end), pork skirt meat, pork jowl, and pork shoulder butt.
The pork platter has arrived!!

I was surprised by the color and how beautiful it was.
And the staff kindly explain which cuts are best to eat first!
Grilling and eating diligently in order...
I couldn't say anything other than, "It's so delicious."

The reason why special cuts are good
= Each cut has a very different appeal

Sometimes, I think it's a really good choice to enjoy special cuts of meat instead of pork belly.
Each has a different texture, and the fat distribution varies for each cut.
So, it was nice to be able to enjoy a variety of savory and flavorful tastes...
The feast and blessing of flavors are endless.
It's a shame to miss out on the savory 된장찌개 (Doenjang Jjigae - Soybean Paste Stew).
I need to have some soup again.

That was Hyeongje Special Meat Cuts (Yeonnam Branch) in Yeonnam-dong.
The restaurant is newly opened, so the interior is very clean,
the meat is so delicious,
and the staff are friendly, making it a very pleasant visit!

I still remember the taste of the pork platter.
As expected, it's different since it's already a famous 맛집 (delicious restaurant) in Guro.
I want to earn a lot of money and go again.
I highly recommend it for Korean BBQ in Yeonnam-dong or for company dinners and eating out!
