Hello!

Today, I visited Park Chan-hoo Tuna, a well-known tuna restaurant near Goejeong Station in Saha-gu, Busan!

The tuna quality was exceptional.

It's a real hidden gem for tuna sashimi!

Location & Parking

Busan Goejeong Tuna Restaurant, Saha-gu 맛집 (delicious restaurant)

The restaurant is conveniently located within walking distance from Exit 2 of Goejeong Station.

Driving is also an option. If you park at 'Samteo Parking Lot,' Park Chan-hoo Tuna offers 1 hour of parking support.

So, you can just put Samteo Parking Lot into your GPS from the start.

It's a tower-type parking garage.

These are the shops connected to Samteo Parking Lot, and Park Chan-hoo Tuna is among them!

After paying, you'll receive a 1-hour free parking voucher for Samteo Parking Lot, which you can then give to the parking attendant.

I was a bit worried about parking, given the location, but the parking support made it very convenient!

Definitely accessible by car!

Park Chan-hoo Tuna is just a 2-minute walk from Samteo Parking Lot - very close!

I think the owner's name is Park Chan-hoo...! The owner of Park Chan-hoo Tuna, who runs his business with his name and face on the line!

Park Chan-hoo Tuna, a nationally recognized restaurant that has even been featured on TV.

Interior

Busan Tuna Restaurant, Busan Saha-gu Tuna Restaurant

Even on a weekday evening, the restaurant was quite busy.

The interior was very clean and cozy.

There were quite a few people in the main hall, so I was worried about finding a seat, but there was more space inside.

You have to take off your shoes to enter this area. It felt private and cozy, so we dined here. Haha.

There were also seats at the counter.

I also saw the 7 benefits of bluefin tuna:

Vascular health, anti-aging, skin beauty, brain health, growth and development, weight loss, energy boost, etc.

Bluefin tuna is so healthy!

Park Chan-hoo Tuna's signature menu is the special bluefin tuna cuts!

It's available in Small, Medium, Large, and Special sizes, and it's a great menu because you can taste the special cuts by part.

Menu

Busan Tuna Restaurant, Saha-gu Tuna, Goejeong Tuna Restaurant, Bar, Japanese food

Sake was also available. Tuna and sake go so well together.

And their signature menu, the special bluefin tuna cuts!

We ordered the medium size of the special bluefin tuna cuts.

You could also order just the bluefin tuna belly separately.

Other set menus included the premium tuna belly set, the budget set, and a half-tuna, half-salmon set.

Aren't the prices amazing?

I'm writing this after trying it myself, and they really serve high-quality tuna!

The side dishes are also delicious, and the prices are not much different from the assorted sashimi at a regular seafood restaurant.

I wondered if there was any other place that offers tuna of this quality at such affordable prices.

You could also order just salmon, and you could also order 100g of each part separately.

Other side menus included fish cake udon, fish cake ramen, spicy cod roe soup, and fish cake hot pot. Perfect for a snack or a meal!

You can also order tuna and salmon sushi.

Side dishes included shrimp tempura, mentaiko shrimp toast, chicken karaage, homemade soy sauce marinated shrimp, and sushi rice.

Tips for enjoying tuna!

It's not difficult~

First!

White tuna is savory, and red tuna is oily, so it's good to alternate between the two.

Second!

Red tuna is more delicious with wasabi and soy sauce, and white tuna is more delicious with sesame oil.

Third!

Place tuna dipped in sauce on top of seaweed, and add radish sprouts and ginger for double the deliciousness...!

Basic Setting

Busan Tuna Restaurant, Busan Sashimi Restaurant, Salmon, Saha-gu Restaurant

Each table was prepared with cups, soy sauce, seaweed, spoons, tissues, wet wipes, and plates.

And they brought out the basic side dishes and sauces.

First, the basic side dishes! They were excellent!

The owner makes all of these himself...!!

He's really serious about food...! No wonder they were all so delicious.

Except for the kimchi, it all seems to be soy sauce-based, right?

Well, soy sauce is soy sauce, but all four have different tastes...! Amazingly different!!!

This is tofu. As soon as my husband tasted it, he said it was a taste I would like. LOL.

When I ate it, it was sweet and sour. If you like seaweed cold soup, cucumber cold soup, or acorn jelly salad, you'll love it!!

The combination of the cool sauce and tofu went really well together. I even drank all the sauce, haha ㅠㅠㅠ

And the refreshing cucumber! It's good as an appetizer, but it was also delicious to eat while eating tuna sashimi.

And the soy sauce marinated shrimp that was the most delicious I've ever eaten!

The shrimp was plump, of course, and I could smell the sesame oil in the shrimp sauce.

The combination of soy sauce and sesame oil is perfect...! It's a shrimp sauce that I've never tasted before, but the shrimp was so chewy and really delicious!!!

If you make rice bowl with this shrimp sauce, it will be gone in a flash ㅠㅠ

There was no fishy smell at all, and it was so fresh and delicious.

And soy sauce marinated egg came out.

Not too salty or bland, it was perfect!

All four side dishes were delicious. It was amazing that they all tasted like soy sauce, but they all had different flavors. Hehehe.

And the kimchi, which was delicious to eat with tuna and to dip in the shrimp sauce!

And soy sauce and sesame oil to dip the tuna in also came out.

Porridge and miso soup also came out.

The porridge was egg porridge.

The taste was so clean and savory that I enjoyed it.

Good as an appetizer before eating tuna!

Before the tuna even came out, I finished all the side dishes~

I ate it all, hahaha.

I saved two cucumbers to eat with tuna and ate them all, hehe.

The owner said he made them himself, and I could tell that the side dishes were different from other restaurants.

Special Bluefin Tuna Cuts (Medium)

Busan Tuna Restaurant, Saha-gu Tuna Restaurant, Bluefin Tuna, Tuna Sashimi Restaurant

And the special bluefin tuna cuts (medium) came out!

Wow, the visuals are amazing...

The tuna sashimi was piled up like stairs, hehe.

And they didn't just serve the sashimi, they also explained each part. The owner came to our table himself to serve and explain.

Each part has a different shape and color.

There are many people who don't know much about tuna sashimi parts like me, right? Hehe!!

But the owner explained each one, so it was fun to know what I was eating and it made it even more delicious.

There was also a red part that looked like beef.

The tuna that came in today was a 500kg giant bluefin tuna. He showed us a picture.

He goes to get it himself every morning.

He could just get it from one supplier, but he goes to several places every time and selects the best quality tuna.

That's why the tuna is so high quality...!

The owner showed us pictures from his photo album, haha.

Ginger, pickled ginger, wasabi, radish sprouts, etc. came with the tuna sashimi.

They even put gold on it, so the visuals are amazing. Hehehe.

First of all, the part at the bottom here is the tuna throat.

It had a good texture and was savory and delicious!

This part with the white part is tuna belly.

Tuna belly is, well, tuna belly...! It melts in your mouth.

The part at the bottom here is Duyeuksal (tuna back meat).

This part with the white color is Kama Yuk (tuna collar meat).

It melts in your mouth!!

This part that is rolled up in a circle with gold on top is also Kama Yuk.

It was a shiny part that melted in your mouth...!!

This part with the red color that looks like beef is tuna cheek meat.

This part with the white flesh that had a chewy texture is tuna belly button meat.

And this dark reddish part, it looked like beef, so I wondered if it was beef.

Even the name is Anchangsal (skirt steak), hehe.

And like this,

4 pieces of sushi rice are provided by default.

When you order sushi rice at other regular sashimi restaurants, they just give you square sushi rice in a frame,

but here, they give you sushi rice made by hand, so I enjoyed it.

It's delicious dipped in sesame oil and delicious dipped lightly in soy sauce.

I loved the combination of soy sauce and wasabi, and my husband said it went well with sesame oil, so he even got a refill of sesame oil and dipped it in it, haha.

The combination of sesame oil and tuna was savory and delicious.

Tuna goes well with seaweed, so it was delicious to wrap it in seaweed like this!

It was also delicious to put it on top of sushi rice and make tuna sushi, hehe.

I ate the gold powder, hehehe.

Or put it on seaweed and add a little radish sprouts for even more deliciousness!!!

Here's another piece, hehe~

And they cut the white meat a little thicker than other places.

This part was really chewy and delicious.

After eating a plate, my husband said he could eat another plate, and it was the most delicious tuna he's ever eaten. He has a picky palate, but he loved it...!

Fish Cake Udon

Park Chan-hoo Tuna, Busan Tuna Restaurant, Busan Tuna Restaurant, Tuna Sashimi Restaurant

We ordered the special tuna cuts (medium), and we were quite full even after eating it with two people.

But I couldn't resist ordering udon, so I ordered one.

Because it was fish cake udon, there were various kinds of fish cake in it.

Busan Tuna Restaurant Park Chan-hoo Tuna's udon!

It was also different from regular udon~!

If the udon I had eaten until then had a Japanese broth feeling?

This udon has a Korean-style udon feel?

The taste of the broth is like a cleaner sujebi soup, and it was a refreshing and deep udon.

My husband was also hooked on the udon. He swept it all up, even the broth. Hehehehe.

Park Chan-hoo Tuna, a Busan tuna restaurant with something special!

The side dishes and udon had a special taste that was different from other places.

And it was so delicious!

And the tuna was really fresh and of good quality, but I wondered if they could sell it at this price...!?

And the service from the owner and staff was impeccable. The tuna sashimi, the side dishes, it tasted like the owner really put a lot of thought into the food?

It was a really hearty and high-quality meal, hehe.

If you're looking for a tuna restaurant in Busan, I highly recommend this place! You'll be able to eat proper tuna~
