Even when I lived in Namcheon-dong, Busan, I used to visit this place often.

It had been a while since I last visited 'Pohang Mulhoe,' a well-known restaurant in Daeyeon-dong.

I've been coming to this Mulhoe restaurant with my mom for about 10 or 15 years.

I haven't been able to come as often since getting married though!

It's still as popular as ever. After circling around because there was no parking, I finally managed to snag a spot next to the restaurant!

Even on a weekday during lunch hours, there was a 7-team wait.

It used to be popular, but now it's a place where you have to line up even on weekdays.

It's amazing how well some businesses do! I feel like it's not *that* amazing to wait in line for... but I still end up coming back. Haha.

A dazzling sight

Here are the prices for the basic menu:

Rockfish Mulhoe: ₩16,000

Spicy Raw Fish Bibimbap: ₩16,000

Flatfish Mulhoe: ₩21,000

Sliced Raw Flatfish (Se-kko-shi): ₩18,000

Rockfish Spicy Fish Stew: ₩35,000

Assorted Sashimi (for 2): ₩55,000

Spicy fish stew is served with Mulhoe :)

A fantastic sight

I don't like the chewy texture of flatfish, so I prefer rockfish! Flatfish Mulhoe is ₩5,000 more expensive.

Rice and side dishes are refillable!! Those who eat a lot of rice can definitely fill up.

Tada!

A mysterious sight

I ordered Mulhoe, and my mom ordered Spicy Raw Fish Bibimbap.

There's sauce at the very bottom of the Spicy Raw Fish Bibimbap, but my mom forgot and poured gochujang (red pepper paste) on top, so it was a bit too salty....!?

A valuable experience

How to enjoy Mulhoe!

Gochujang and seasoning are already added.

Hold the spoon in your left hand and chopsticks in your right hand to mix.

Add 5 pieces of ice and noodles.

Add about half a cup of broth.

Mix and enjoy!

Warm memories

Spicy fish stew also came out!

Eat Mulhoe, and then enjoy the spicy fish stew and rice~!?!

Warm memories

Gochujang and sugar are also available, so you can add more according to your preference~!?!

It's already delicious, so there's no need to add more.

Impressive sight

I discovered chili peppers on the table almost towards the end -_-

Let's add them now! Haha.

Wonderful photo

Mulhoe is just an appetizer.

Now it's time to start the meal!

Time to seriously eat rice and spicy fish stew.!?

Hopeful future

It's been a while since I've had Mulhoe, and it's still delicious! ^^

But is it worth waiting in line for...?

Hmm, it's ambiguous? It is tasty, though. Haha.

A dreamlike moment

The male owner was reacting sensitively to customers.

Some of the older customers were upset ;;

No matter how busy you are, I hope they would be kind to their customers. Especially since most of the customers are elderly.

Charming photo

Anyway,

Still,

It was delicious!

Leaving that review, I'll be back with the next post ^^

Thank you :D

Touching scene Wonderful photo

On the same street, there's a Daeyeon-dong Ssangdungi Pork Rice Soup restaurant that also has a long line. I don't know if it still has a line these days, but I'll have to check it out next time :D

A fantastic sight Amazing spectacle Bright future Happy time Special moment

That was Rabilabi's review of Pohang Mulhoe in Daeyeon-dong, Busan :)

Hours: 11:00 - 21:00

Last order: 20:30

- They may be closed on days with heavy rain, so I recommend calling before visiting.
