A Seafood Feast at YeonAn Pier: A Review of Honam No. 6 Auntie's
27-2, Yeonanbudeu-ro 75beon-gil, Jung-gu, Incheon

Recently, my family and I finally found some time to visit a famous seafood restaurant at YeonAn Pier. With a spread of over 60 side dishes and incredibly fresh raw fish, it felt like the ocean itself was served to us, making for a truly happy day.
Honam No. 6 Auntie's, where we went that day, is located in a building about a 4-minute walk from Yeonan Catholic Church. Situated right by the roadside, its yellow exterior is easily visible from afar, so even though it was our first visit, we arrived without any trouble.
YeonAn Pier Seafood Restaurant: Honam No. 6 Auntie's
Address: 27-2, Yeonanbudeu-ro 75beon-gil, Jung-gu, Incheon
Hours: Daily, 10:00 AM - 2:00 AM
There's a parking lot in front, and since we could use the entire space, we were able to park comfortably even during the evening. I liked that the operating hours are flexible, from 10 AM to 2 AM every day, so we could visit at our desired time.
As soon as we approached the entrance, we were greeted by a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. There were more tables than I expected, so there was no worry about it being full, and the wood-tone decor gave it a cozy feel.
The seating is all chairs, which made it easy to sit down. There were also group seats available for 8 or more people, making it perfect for family outings or various gatherings.
We quickly scanned the menu and ordered their signature 60-dish spread.
While we were chatting, the basic table setting began to be set. There were many dishes, including abalone, sea squirt, and crab salad, but the webfoot octopus was especially good for filling our empty stomachs with its soft and chewy texture.
The corn cheese that came with it was incredibly delicious. The salty cheese and crunchy corn were the perfect appetizers.
Next, the star of the show, the fresh raw fish, arrived. The fish, prepared immediately after ordering, was plated beautifully.
The chef removed all the bones, making it easy to eat. The fresh scent stimulated my sense of smell, and my mouth naturally watered.
While my family was taking some, I got curious and tried the grilled fish first. The savory taste and flaky flesh were a fantastic combination, and I cleared it all the way to the tail.
Finally, it was time to taste the bite-sized raw fish. The flavor was so rich that it spread across my tongue, bringing a smile to my face.
The thick slices of raw fish were piled high on my plate, and I could really feel that I had come to the right place.
I ate it on its own to fully appreciate the unique flavor. It was a combination that enhanced the savory taste, and I could savor the texture of the flesh.
Dipping it in soy sauce was also the best. It eliminated any fishiness and brought out the savory flavor.
In between, I turned my attention to the lobster, which kept catching my eye. The red exterior made it look irresistible.
To make it easier to eat, I prepared it by separating only the flesh!
First, I ate the body part containing the intestines. In addition to the unique flavor of seafood, it was savory and clean, so I didn't get tired of eating it.
I put a piece of wasabi on top of the lobster, and the melting texture was great. The spicy taste that came up as I chewed was also the best, so I highly recommend it.
I also dipped it in red pepper paste and filled my mouth. The chewy claw meat offered a different taste, keeping my mouth busy.
I couldn't end it like this, so I scanned the shrimp tempura. The shrimp was coated in breadcrumbs, and the crispy batter was thinly wrapped around it.
I put a pickled scallion on top and ate it. Even though I was already full, I kept eating it because of the pleasant savory taste and the sourness that followed.
On the other hand, the Mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) was refreshing with its tangy broth. It featured a variety of flavors with sea squirt, lettuce, and chili peppers as toppings.
There was also plenty of chewy sliced raw fish, so I could see the generous spirit of the YeonAn Pier seafood restaurant owner.
The broth was also plentiful. As soon as I slurped it up, I could feel the freshness as the broth soaked into each piece of raw fish.
I also had to boil the spicy fish stew, which is a must at any seafood restaurant. Looking at the stew in the pot made my mouth water again.
When the bubbles came up, I stirred it with a ladle to evenly distribute the seasoning. When I picked up the fish and put it in my mouth, the unique umami taste burst out, and my brother praised it repeatedly.
We enjoyed a pleasant and filling meal with high-quality dishes. Thanks to the friendly staff, we had an even more enjoyable meal at YeonAn Pier Seafood Restaurant. I plan to visit again with my friends soon!
