I was chatting with my child's friend's mom this morning, trying to decide where to go.
We're usually so busy and it's hard to find time, but luckily our schedules aligned today.
It had been a while since we'd planned to grab a cup of coffee together. But when it came down to actually meeting, we had trouble deciding where to go.
Then, while searching for cafes in Ilsan Pungdong, I stumbled upon a new cafe called One Hundred that immediately caught my eye.
Its location, right across from the Goyang YMCA, seemed easy to find, so we decided on it right away.
Honestly, I didn't have high expectations; I just thought we'd go since it was nearby. But when I found out it opens at 7:30 AM, I made the decision without hesitation.
Not many cafes in Ilsan Pungdong open early, so our options have always been limited. I was so happy to have another choice this time. We agreed to meet there.
The first thing I noticed upon arrival was how spacious the parking lot was. It's rare to find a cafe in Ilsan Pungdong with such ample parking. There was enough room for several cars at once.
The parking spaces were also wide, and even as a beginner driver, I was able to park without any stress! I felt like that alone earned them half the points already.^^
Walking towards the entrance, I could already feel the Christmas atmosphere. The colorful decorations instantly lifted my spirits.
The eye-catching exterior design added to the charm and unique ambiance of One Hundred.
The first floor, visible as soon as you enter, was absolutely beautiful. Even though the space was filled with stylish plants, it didn't feel cramped at all.
Rather, the greenery created a refreshing and warm atmosphere simultaneously.
The cafe's interior was also very well-decorated. The tables were spaced generously, and there wasn't a noisy atmosphere in the morning, making it perfect for a quiet conversation with my friend's mom.
The spaciousness made it even more comfortable to sit and relax.
There were various types of tables, some occupied by people working alone, while others, like us, were chatting away. Because the cafe was so large, I loved that we didn't have to worry about being conspicuous, no matter where we sat.
I also went up to the second floor, which had a different charm. It seemed perfect for group gatherings or family outings.
There were private rooms available, offering a separate space for private conversations. The layout was suitable for moms' groups, study groups, or even religious gatherings.
The owner's attention to detail was evident throughout the space.
When I asked a staff member, they said reservations were possible. We're planning a year-end gathering with the moms next month, and it seemed like the perfect place.
Now, I have to talk about the menu. As soon as I saw it, I was torn. One Hundred Cafe in Ilsan Pungdong had a wide variety of coffee options, including specialty coffee and decaf, so there were many choices.
The coffee seemed different from the usual franchise coffee we're used to. At first, I thought the prices were a bit high, but I was wrong.
After tasting the coffee, it was clear that the beans were different.
Besides coffee, they also had a variety of non-coffee options like ades, smoothies, and homemade traditional teas. So, I felt it was a great place to come with people who don't drink coffee.
Many people can't have caffeine, so it's nice to have a wide selection.
And here's my personal highlight: the desserts. From salt bread to financiers, Levain cookies, and various cakes, everything looked tempting.
It's hard to find a cafe in Ilsan Pungdong with such a diverse dessert selection. This place gets a thumbs-up for desserts too!
As we chatted while waiting for our order, time passed without any discomfort. The quiet, clean, and spacious environment made it easy to relax without feeling self-conscious.
Starting the day with such a leisurely time made me feel like the day would be better.^^
I ordered an iced Americano, and it was definitely different. From the first sip, I could taste a clean and rich flavor!
The bean flavor wasn't overly bitter and had a pleasant freshness, making it very enjoyable to drink.
The lingering aroma made me want to keep sipping.
The chamomile tea was also subtle and smooth. My friend's mom said that she hadn't been to a place that was so satisfying overall.
The atmosphere, taste, space, and parking were all perfect, making it a great day and an excellent choice.^^
The financier I received as part of a review event was much tastier than I expected. The outside had a slightly crispy texture, while the inside was moist and not too sweet, making me want to keep eating it.
