A Rainy Chuseok Getaway: Yangpyeong's Starbucks and Delicious Fried Chicken

The long Chuseok holiday began with the sound of rain.

My partner and I didn't want to waste the holiday at home, so we decided to take a trip to Yangpyeong after a long time.

Our first stop was the Starbucks Doyangpyeong DT branch, which boasts a stunning view of the Namhan River!

This place was a stop during our cycling dates when we were dating, and it has been our haven whenever we visit Yangpyeong.

After a long time, the Starbucks Doyangpyeong DT branch had changed.

On the third-floor outdoor terrace, there was a tiered seating area where you could enjoy coffee while gazing at the Namhan River view.

It had been transformed into a silent room called 'essential + STARBUCKS'.

The most disappointing thing about visiting Starbucks Doyangpyeong DT was that the high ceilings made people's voices echo, making it noisy, and the inside was too cold.

However, the silent room was separate from the main space, so the temperature was perfect, and the soundproof doors blocked out the noise, which was great.

Without the sound of people talking, with soft music playing and a fire blazing beyond the large windows, it was the perfect place to enjoy a fire.

I tend to put a lot of effort into my posts, and when I looked up, the sun had already set, and it was evening.

I was starting to get hungry.

If you go a little further from Starbucks Doyangpyeong DT, you'll find the Yangpyeong County Office.

It's quite a downtown area in Yangpyeong, so I thought there would be shops open even during the Chuseok holiday.

Pelicana Chicken welcomed us!

Pelicana Yangpyeong County Office branch, which was holding a promotion event for giving away dried fish snacks and tteokbokki, seemed to have opened not long ago!

I sometimes look at the congratulatory messages on the wreaths at newly opened places, and the messages on the wreaths at this Pelicana were also witty, lol.

Even though Pelicana Yangpyeong County Office branch hadn't been open for long, the tables inside the store were already occupied, and there were constant orders and deliveries piling up.

Was it because it was newly opened? Or was it because there weren't many places open during the Chuseok holiday?

The fried chicken we ordered came out.

How can chicken be more transparent than me?

We got garlic sauce and basic seasoned sauce.

I don't have any other pictures.

Really... it was so delicious that I didn't have time to take pictures.

I don't eat greasy food well, so I prefer old-fashioned fried chicken with less batter, so I often eat Pelicana, but the Yangpyeong County Office branch of Pelicana is really, really delicious.

Garlic sauce was more delicious than the regular seasoned sauce.

I also ordered Peri Wing Bong Chicken because I didn't think one was enough!

The yellowish batter is so pretty without any dark spots.

Delicious, delicious.

I've had a cold since the start of the change of seasons, so I didn't have much of an appetite, but it was the first time in a while that I really enjoyed Pelicana Chicken.

I have a feeling that Pelicana Yangpyeong County Office branch will continue to receive orders even after the opening special is over.

I wanted to become friends with the owner, who will soon become rich, lol.

(If only my Smart Store received this many orders...! My eyes and wrists wouldn't last)

We rested well and ate well.

I'm glad I came to Yangpyeong for a getaway.
