Recently, our company's sales have been doing well, and our boss generously treated us to a dinner.

Normally, we would have gone for pork or chicken, but this time, he decided to treat us to eel, so everyone headed to the gathering place in Magok.

Jangsimdo Black is a restaurant that our boss frequently visits. The ingredients are fresh, and the side dishes are quite tasty.

With high expectations, we walked for about 5 minutes from exit 9 of Balsan Station. Those driving can enter the underground parking of the Marcus Building.

After arriving, we parked directly in the parking lot. If you're dining, you can enjoy 3 hours of free parking, which is more than enough.

The building is quite large, so the parking area was more spacious than expected. Even though it was dinner time, we were able to park comfortably and head upstairs.

Taking the elevator to the second floor, we arrived at the restaurant level.

As we hurried inside, I spotted the signature of someone I really like—Kim Poong, a popular broadcaster known for his cooking skills. I was excited to learn he had dined here, which made me eager to try the food.

Upon entering the restaurant, the main hall was bustling but not overwhelmingly crowded, which was pleasant.

There are also group seating arrangements, making it a great choice for gatherings or company dinners.

Our boss had wisely reserved a private room, allowing us to enjoy our meal in a cozy setting and have comfortable conversations.

Without hesitation, we ordered eel for the main dish. When asked about sides, we decided on various soups and noodles to share, and the dishes were on par with the main course.

Before the meal, we were given aprons that fit comfortably, ensuring we could eat without any discomfort.

The side dishes were well-prepared, with a variety of sauces that were delightful. I was particularly curious about a sauce developed by chefs specializing in Korean and Japanese cuisine, which was incredibly flavorful.

They even provided omega supplements for free to complement the eel, showcasing their thoughtful service.

The eel was brought out after being partially grilled in the kitchen, releasing a wonderful smoky aroma that assured us it would taste delicious.

The staff grilled it to perfection, ensuring it was cooked through but not burnt, making it visually appealing and mouthwatering.

They also grilled green onions, which added a refreshing flavor that paired beautifully with the eel.

The eel was cut into bite-sized pieces, making it easy to enjoy without any overpowering flavors.

The eel was plump and flavorful, filling my mouth with just one piece, and the nutty taste was evident from the first bite, proving the freshness of the ingredients.

To cleanse the palate, we enjoyed some green onions, which provided a refreshing contrast.

We also tried it with salt, wasabi, and wild ginseng, which enhanced the flavor without any bitterness.

We paired it with some grilled organic seaweed, which added a delightful crunch.

There were also eating tips provided, so we followed them and took a big bite, which was bursting with flavor.

Next, we tried it with garlic mayo and breadcrumbs, which added a unique sweetness.

We ordered a beer to accompany our meal, and it had the perfect amount of foam with a smooth finish.

After refreshing ourselves with drinks, we decided to try some side dishes.

They served us a soup that had been simmered for 12 hours, making it incredibly tender and flavorful.

The noodles ordered by a team member were served in a generous portion with fish cakes in a warm broth.

The broth was perfectly seasoned, not too salty, making it a great palate cleanser.

The noodles maintained their texture, being pleasantly chewy without becoming mushy.

I couldn't resist ordering a spicy mixed noodle dish, which was already perfectly prepared without needing any additional mixing.

The unique spicy and tangy flavor was pronounced, making each bite enjoyable.

Just when I thought the meal was over, they surprised us with dessert—a kale juice with soft rice cakes, which was light and easy to enjoy.

The flavors were so good that I finished every last bit.

As we left, there was a corner prepared for guests with mouthwash and fabric fresheners, all complimentary, which was a nice touch.

Especially after a meal, the mouthwash was refreshing and made the drive home comfortable.

Having visited many places in Magok, I believe this is one of the best. The freshness of the ingredients and the quality of the flavors were exceptional, making me want to return again.
