A Local's Recommendation: Black Pig Restaurant Near Jeju Airport

The best way to kick off your trip to Jeju Island is undoubtedly by enjoying delicious food. Upon arriving at the airport, I quickly found myself pondering what to eat first, and this time I decided to visit Yangdaegam, located very close to Nohyeong-dong.
This place is already famous among travelers, but locals also line up to eat here, making it a must-visit if you're looking for a recommended black pig restaurant.
It’s conveniently located just a short 10-minute drive from the airport, making it an easy option for your first meal.
As soon as I stepped inside, I was pleased to find that there was no overwhelming smell of smoke typical of barbecue restaurants, creating a comfortable dining atmosphere.
The spacious seating arrangement was perfect for enjoying the start of my trip with friends.
Without hesitation, I opted for the signature black pig set menu recommended by locals!
Once seated, I was greeted with a beautifully arranged table setting, each dish served with care.
The sweet and tender pumpkin salad played a significant role in whetting my appetite before the main course.
From the refreshing Myungna (a type of edible plant) that pairs perfectly with the meat to the crunchy radish salad, I could immediately tell that the chef's skills were exceptional.
To prevent the meal from becoming greasy, the cool water kimchi and spicy green onion salad were perfect accompaniments, enhancing the flavors of the meat without overshadowing it.
The signature set included thick pork neck, pork belly, and chewy skirt steak, allowing me to enjoy different textures and flavors all at once.
Just looking at the bright red meat and marbling on the grill assured me that high-quality pork was being used.
In fact, the taste of Jeju black pork can vary greatly depending on how it’s grilled, but here, the skilled staff expertly handled the grilling from start to finish, making it very convenient.
Watching the juicy meat being grilled to perfection was an exciting experience in itself.
The first bite of the perfectly grilled meat burst with juice, creating a memorable moment. The outside was crispy while the inside remained juicy, embodying the ideal texture.
The combination of the lean pork and chewy pork belly made for an enjoyable meal that was never boring.
Another special charm of this place is that you can also taste a variety of beef entrails, such as large intestines and small intestines!
The rich flavor of the grilled large intestines melted in my mouth, offering a different kind of indulgence that added variety to the meal.
With the delicious black pork and beef entrails, I was thoroughly satisfied.
The stir-fried rice with beef entrails was delightful, retaining the unique chewy texture, and the seasoned rice that had caramelized on the grill was simply delicious!
The beef miso stew, generously filled with brisket, had a rich and savory broth that made me finish a bowl of rice in no time. A spoonful of the warm, hearty broth perfectly wrapped up the meal.
If you're looking for a memorable meal during your trip to Jeju, I highly recommend visiting Yangdaegam in Nohyeong-dong, a local's favorite for black pig!
