Moreover, the side dishes were quite good, changing with the seasons, and each one was well-seasoned, evoking the feeling of home-cooked meals.
One dish that stood out was the soybean paste stew, which had a rich, deep flavor that paired wonderfully with the grilled fish.
It’s not just the main dishes that shine; the attention to detail in the basic food made the experience even more satisfying.
They also serve stone pot rice, which is fantastic when topped with fish. At the end of the meal, we even made crispy rice, leaving us feeling pleasantly full.
Among Sokcho's grilled fish restaurants, finding one that offers this level of satisfaction is rare.
They also offer takeout, which was a nice bonus. The portions were generous, making it hard to finish everything.
We packed some leftover fish to enjoy later at our accommodation as a late-night snack, and it was still delicious even when cold.
It’s common for travelers to stop by for takeout on their last day before heading home.
What I appreciated most was that I didn’t feel heavy or uncomfortable after the meal. Often, when traveling, we overindulge and feel bloated, but the well-grilled fish here left me feeling comfortable.
Both my parents and kids were satisfied, making it a great family dining option.
After a hearty meal, we drove towards Goseong to see the beautiful sea, which had a lovely atmosphere, especially under the night sky.
We parked the car for a moment, listening to the waves, and I still remember that peaceful time.
From starting at Sokcho Beach to enjoying a delicious dinner and ending the day at Goseong Beach, it was a fulfilling travel itinerary.
