A Hearty Pork Bone Stew Experience Near Jinjeop Station, Namyangju

Hello!
Last August, my friend and I went on a temple stay at Bongseonsa Temple in Namyangju.
Even though it was short, we felt like we were escaping from the mundane, so we thought, "Let's eat something delicious and filling before we go!"
There were so many restaurants around Jinjeop Station, which made it hard to choose. But since we thought we couldn't eat meat at the temple, we decided on pork bone hangover stew (Ppyeodagwi Haejangguk) after much deliberation!
You'd think we were staying at the temple for days! Haha.

Wonjo Ppyeodagwi Gamjatang, located near Exit 4 of Jinjeop Station!
It's a well-known spot in Namyangju for delicious Gamjatang (pork bone stew) & Haejangguk (hangover stew), famous for its rich and flavorful broth.
The interior has large windows offering a great view of the outside, giving it a very refreshing feel, and it was also well-maintained and clean! ????????????????
I heard this restaurant is always bustling with customers. Luckily, when we visited, there was exactly one table left, so we were able to get in right away without any waiting.
There are many restaurants called Wonjo Ppyeodagwi Haejangguk, but my friend and I agreed that this place was the real deal, especially since there were so many elderly customers! That means it's a truly good restaurant! Haha.
Kimchi and radish kimchi (Kkakdugi) served in small earthenware bowls!
We cut them into bite-sized pieces with scissors. They were perfectly fermented to my liking.

My friend and I each ordered a bowl of Haejangguk. If you're coming with a group, ordering a stew (Jeongol) would be even more satisfying.
It's hard to tell from the picture, but I've never seen such a generous bowl of Haejangguk in my life! The size of the meat bones was truly enormous!
The meat was tender and soft, and the broth had a rich and deep flavor.
The taste of the meat dipped in the sauce was amazing! I ate a full meal with rice in the broth. I don't know if I'll have a chance to go to Namyangju again, but whenever I eat Ppyeodagwi Haejangguk, I'll keep thinking about the generous taste and portion size of Wonjo Ppyeodagwi Haejangguk in Namyangju.
Highly recommend this spot!
