Today, I had the 'baekban' (Korean set meal) at Miso Maeul near Yangjae Station for lunch.

Miso Maeul, a home-style 'baekban' restaurant in Seocho-dong, is located near Yangjae Station.

Today's menu changes daily, using seasonal ingredients.

Delicious Meal

A home-style 'baekban' meal just like Mom makes!

For dinner, they serve charcoal-grilled pork belly, pork shoulder, and ribs.

Outdoor Seating

There's an outdoor space on the second floor.

It's a great atmosphere to enjoy a drink and some appetizers in the spring and fall.

I visited around 1 PM.

I took the interior photos cautiously because there were customers eating right next to me.

It was perfectly comfortable dining alone.

I ordered the lunch special, the home-style meal.

They use Korean red pepper powder, kimchi, and sesame oil.

Lunch Special

Today's home-style meal included grilled hairtail and soybean paste stew.

Home-style Meal

The young cabbage soybean paste stew that came out first needs to be heated up.

Side Dishes

Today's home-style meal comes with young cabbage soybean paste stew and four side dishes.

Hairtail and side dishes

Grilled hairtail, aster scaber, stir-fried glass noodles with vegetables, and young radish kimchi.

The side dishes here really captured my taste buds.

The warm hairtail was savory.

My mom used to make stir-fried glass noodles with vegetables a lot, and it's been a while since I've had it.

About halfway through my meal, a savory pancake arrived.

It was a freshly made chive pancake.

The type of pancake served (kimchi, zucchini, chives, scallion, etc.) varies depending on the menu.

Savory Pancake

The kimchi was so delicious that I was saving a chopstick-full for the end.

"Want more kimchi?"

She took my plate without even asking my opinion! Of course, I said "Yes."

On days when I miss a warm home-cooked meal,

Eating a meal with the taste of Mom's cooking makes me smile, as if Mom made it herself.

I ate another bowl of rice.

The food is clean and neat. I can't say it's exactly like the simple meals I've been having at home these days, but it felt like a home-cooked meal from my childhood, so I ate heartily.

I enjoyed my lunch today.
