Hello! :>
Sudeoksa Temple is a must-visit on any budget trip to Yesan!
Inside Sudeoksa Temple, I visited "Yakseon Gongyanggwan," a Korean set menu restaurant where you can enjoy a healthy and hearty meal.
I'd like to introduce you to Yakseon Gongyanggwan, where you can heal with just one meal! Hehe.

Yakseon Gongyanggwan is visible after passing the entrance to the Sudeoksa Temple parking lot!
On weekends, waiting is almost guaranteed, so I made a reservation in advance. Hehe.
Waiting is possible via Catch Table!
The traces of a popular restaurant are visible as soon as you enter...
Yakseon Gongyanggwan is a restaurant run by Yakseon cuisine expert Lim Young, and they say that they don't use chemical seasonings and use seasonal ingredients and Yakseon food to bring out the flavor!
As soon as I walked in, I smelled a savory aroma, and it turned out that there were pots of stone-pot rice next to the kitchen!

The restaurant was generally clean and spacious, and I thought it would be a good place to bring my parents!
At first, the restaurant didn't seem that big, but beyond the kitchen, there was a large space that could accommodate groups.
The menu basically has three set menus:
Wild Vegetable Set Menu: ₩15,000 per person
Deodeok (Lanceolata) Root Set Menu: ₩18,000 per person
Yakseon Set Menu: ₩29,000 per person
All set menus require a minimum order of 2 servings, and side dishes can be refilled when ordering 1 menu per person.
The prices for additional menus other than side dishes are structured like this:)
Yakseon Set Menu for 2: ₩58,000
Neungi Mushroom Hot Pot + Stone-Pot Rice + Grilled Fish + Braised Short Ribs + Abalone Soy Sauce
(Grilled Deodeok + Bulgogi + Chinese Artichoke + Acorn Jelly + Acorn Pancake)

The Yakseon set menu was served with so many dishes!
Even before all the dishes were set, I was already wondering what to eat first.
Stone-Pot Rice
Stone-pot rice is a must for a Korean set menu!
The rice in the stone pot is definitely stickier and more savory than regular rice.

You all know that you should scoop out the rice from the stone pot, pour water in, and finish with scorched rice after the meal, right~?!
Neungi Mushroom Hot Pot
Because they don't use artificial seasonings, the broth was very clean.
It contained a variety of mushrooms, so the mushroom flavor was strong, and the deeper the flavor as it simmered, the more I felt like I was nourishing my body!

Braised Short Ribs
Unlike regular braised short ribs, it wasn't too salty, which was nice.
The meat wasn't tough and was so tender, it was perfect to eat with rice.
Grilled Fish
The grilled fish was salty and plump with flesh, truly a rice thief..????

Bulgogi (Korean BBQ Beef)
A day where you can really fully recharge with protein..
It tasted like it was grilled directly on a grill, the smoky flavor was amazing!
Grilled Deodeok (Lanceolata Root)
It was my first time eating grilled Deodeok, and it was more delicious than I thought.
It was crunchy and the seasoning was perfect for my taste.

Abalone Soy Sauce, Acorn Pancake, Salad, etc.
The menu composition is really diverse, right?!?!
In addition, there are various greens, so it seems like a really healthy and hearty meal :)
Yakseon Gongyanggwan is worth the price, with a table full of food.
I could feel that they cooked with sincerity using fresh ingredients without seasonings.
And scorched rice to finish cleanly!
It's savory and goes down easily, hehe.
Eating the scorched rice is the perfect way to finish a hearty Korean set meal, right????????
Because they provide parking tickets when you pay after the meal, I was able to eat without worrying about parking. Hehe.
Because they don't use artificial seasonings, even if I eat until I'm full, my stomach doesn't feel bloated, so I feel comfortable ????
If you're visiting Sudeoksa Temple during your Yesan trip, or looking for a healthy meal within Sudeoksa Temple, I recommend "Yakseon Gongyanggwan" in Yesan Sudeoksa Temple ????
