A Fantastic Local Jeju Gogi Guksu Restaurant in Aewol

Jeju Gogi Guksu, a local favorite, was an excellent dining experience in Aewol, Jeju.
On the last day of my trip, I usually have a simple breakfast, but this time I wanted to start with something more substantial.
I visited a Jeju Gogi Guksu restaurant, popular among the locals in Jeju. I was not disappointed!
I was able to enjoy a satisfying meal with authentic local dishes made with special ingredients.
I'm writing this review because I haven't found a place with better value for money than this restaurant.
Address: 1st floor, 7055 Iljuseo-ro, Aewol-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do
Hours: 08:30 - 17:00
Menu Items: Jeju Gogi Guksu (10,000 KRW), Jeju Bibim Guksu (10,000 KRW), Jeju Gogi Gukbap (10,000 KRW), Jeju Dombe Gogi (15,000 KRW), Perilla Oil Acorn Jelly Salad (9,000 KRW)
1. A Neatly Prepared Table
I was impressed with the generous spread on the table.
Not only the main dishes but also the side dishes were neatly prepared, making me think I would have a perfect meal that day.
The Dombe Gogi I had at this local Jeju Gogi Guksu restaurant was served on a cutting board in the traditional way.
It was made with moist, fatty, and lean meat, so I could trust and enjoy it even if I didn't know much about pork.
When I took a bite, it was warm and moist, as if it had just been boiled.
It was much more savory than regular boiled pork, and the juices burst out with every bite, making it really delicious.
The Dombe Gogi was tender with a good texture, so I kept reaching for it like a dessert.
When eaten with kimchi, the combination of sourness and crispness was so memorable that I kept thinking about it.
2. Special Perilla Oil Acorn Jelly Salad
The Perilla Oil Acorn Jelly Salad, which I ordered together, boasted a generous visual appearance.
The portion was generous, and the toppings were diverse, which made me think it was a great value for money.
The visuals alone were enough to stimulate my appetite, and the savory aroma of perilla oil was fantastic.
The acorn jelly itself was fresh and maintained a bouncy texture, and it was also chewy, which was perfect for my taste.
No matter what combination I tried, I felt it blended well with the various vegetables.
The portion was more generous than I expected, so it didn't seem to decrease no matter how much I ate.
3. Amazing Gogi Guksu
The Gogi Guksu I ordered at this Aewol restaurant was also memorable.
The broth was very milky but not oily, so I could enjoy it in a clear style.
The pork had a good amount of fat and was smooth, so I could grab it firmly with my chopsticks.
The boiling temperature was just right, so it wasn't tough at all and was soft to chew.
The noodles were served warm, so I could see them blending naturally with the broth.
The noodles were definitely chewy and had a unique savory flavor.
The broth was particularly rich because they only use broth made directly from beef bones and pork trotters.
I loved the rich, deep flavor, so the savory taste lingered in my mouth for a long time.
There's even rice provided separately at the self-service bar, so you can add it to the soup to your liking.
The warm soup warmed my body and relieved my stomach, making it a light and satisfying first meal.
4. Appetizing Bibim Guksu
You can't miss the Bibim Guksu at this local Jeju Gogi Guksu restaurant.
First of all, it was topped with cucumbers, bean sprouts, and carrots, so it looked fresh, and the sweet and sour aroma was strong.
When I mixed the noodles, they were glossy, and the savory sesame oil scent spread subtly.
It wasn't overly spicy but rather had a sweet and sour taste, so I could enjoy it comfortably with all the ingredients.
The cold Bibim Guksu tasted even better when served with Dombe Gogi.
The combination of the savory flavor of the meat juices and the salty taste was perfect, leaving a clean aftertaste.
The Gukbap, which I ordered as a meal, also made my mouth water just by looking at it.
It was a pork-based soup that was mild and could be recommended to anyone.
The meat itself had a good texture, so even when I dipped it in the soup, it was still chewy.
It wasn't greasy at all, so I didn't get tired of it, and it was perfect for a hangover cure after drinking.
The Gukbap also had a refreshing taste and was highly addictive, and I ate it with various side dishes.
In particular, the kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi) had a tangy seasoning that went well with the hot soup.
5. Glossy Rib Dumplings
The rib dumplings that everyone was ordering at every table also made me look forward to the amazing taste.
From the hot, steamed appearance to the full filling, the visual appeal was amazing.
The dumplings were basic but well-seasoned, and the rib juices were rich.
The skin itself was chewy, so it filled my mouth with a hearty and savory flavor.
The kimchi and kkakdugi, which are basic side dishes at this local Jeju Gogi Guksu restaurant, were also special.
They were made directly, so they were fresh, and the savory taste was significant, making it a place with highly complete side dishes.
Idigogi-guksu, which I visited with my friends, is a Gogi Guksu restaurant near the Aewol Cafe Street.
The large detached building with transparent glass interiors was easy to spot from a distance.
There was plenty of parking space in front of the restaurant, so there was no need to worry about parking.
It was so spacious that it was very convenient to visit by rental car, and I could get off safely without worrying about door dings.
When I went inside, I couldn't believe the clear blue sea that unfolded right in front of me.
I was able to enjoy a happy time with delicious food and a perfect ocean view throughout the meal.
Thanks to the diverse menu, there were so many dishes to choose from.
This local Jeju Gogi Guksu restaurant impressed me once again with its trustworthy ingredients and generous table setting.
The friendly service and beautiful view made me want to visit again.
