평화로운 풍경

We visited 'Gogineun Hanwoo Da', a restaurant in Jeju perfect for groups, for a family dinner. It's known among the locals, and the friendly owners and staff made our meal even more enjoyable! We were also very happy with the value for money.

Restaurant Name: Gogineun Hanwoo Da Ido Branch

Location: 1st floor, 343, Jungang-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do

Hours of Operation: 11:00 ~ 22:00 / Break Time 14:30 ~ 17:00 / Last Order 21:00

1. Exterior

We visited 'Gogineun Hanwoo Da' last week. It's located within a 10-minute drive from Jeju Sports Complex, in a bustling area, making it easily accessible.

It was our first time at this restaurant, and the clean, detached building was eye-catching from afar. Although it's a butcher shop-style restaurant, there's no table setting fee, so we had high expectations for the price.

They also have a dedicated parking lot, so we were able to park immediately without any parking stress, regardless of weekday or weekend.

2. Spacious Interior

Upon entering, we were greeted by a spacious interior. The interior was clean at a glance, with tables spaced generously apart, and each seat had a ventilation fan installed.

Being a butcher shop-style restaurant, you can pick up the meat you want directly. I was tempted by the beef brisket, which I usually like! The grade of the antibiotic-free Korean beef brisket was also displayed, so I was very excited.

What caught my eye was the antibiotic-free Korean beef sirloin. There was a 'Today Only Special' sticker attached, and I quickly grabbed it because it was available at a great price.

3. Well-Prepared Table Setting

The staff set up the basic side dishes. There were salt and ssamjang (soybean paste) for dipping the meat, as well as pickled onions, bean sprout salad, and various vegetables. The side dishes were very well prepared.

I was surprised to see raw beef liver prepared :). It's a rare ingredient to find, so I ate it after a long time. It didn't have any fishy smell, and I felt like I was replenishing my iron with just one bite.

The crunchy pickled onions were refreshing and appetizing, and they went well with the meat.

I couldn't help but reach for the sweet fish cake stir-fry. It had a sweet and savory flavor that was good to eat with rice, making it a popular side dish for children.

Next, we encountered the soy sauce marinated crab. The body and crab legs were full of meat, and above all, the salty and savory taste was amazing.

You could see the crab meat pouring out with just a slight press with chopsticks. I couldn't feel even 0.1% of fishiness! It's a restaurant with no table setting fee, and the quality of the side dishes was also very satisfying.

We started grilling the ordered meat on the grill. The fresh, top-quality Korean beef looked like it would taste even better when grilled over charcoal.

We used tongs and scissors to cut the nicely grilled beef into bite-sized pieces. Since high-quality Korean beef can lose its tenderness if cooked for too long, we quickly grilled it over high heat.

4. Tender Korean Beef

The ventilation fan immediately took care of the smoke generated when grilling the meat. The outside was crispy, and the inside was juicy. When I ate it with a little bit of pinkness, the juices burst out.

One serving was not enough, so we added another one. Can you see the beautiful marbling? Unnecessary fat was neatly trimmed, so I was looking forward to all the ribeye and chuck flap tail.

We started grilling the meat on the newly replaced grill. The juices started to form all over the meat, and the savory aroma filled the entire table.

I decided to start with my favorite chuck flap tail, checked that it was cooked enough, and cut it into bite-sized pieces. The scissors cut right through it as soon as the blade touched it.

The sirloin had a steak-like visual. I cut it into square shapes and prepared to eat it. I took a bite with a trembling heart, and it was just perfect.

Since the meat itself was so delicious, I personally thought it was best to eat it with salt rather than with various side dishes or wraps! Dipping it in salt like this allowed me to enjoy the ultimate savory taste.

I also have to praise the sesame oil sauce. It had the taste of the ultimate Korean beef, and I kept praising it throughout the meal.

If I had to pick one side dish that goes well with Korean beef, it would be pickled myrtle leaves. Wrapping the fragrant greens around the meat made it impossible to feel even 0.1% of greasiness.

5. Korean Beef Wrapped in Pickled Myrtle Leaves

It's a familiar taste that I often eat, so it's a combination that I keep reaching for. It doesn't spoil the taste of the meat, which is especially good.

Since I filled my stomach with meat, I ordered soybean paste stew to eat with rice. The hot earthenware pot contained plenty of vegetables and meat.

The broth was savory, and the slight spiciness at the end was perfect. So, at 'Gogineun Hanwoo Da' in Jeju, I started with top-quality Korean beef at a reasonable price and enjoyed a good meal.
