The Geumsung Salt House, located near Changwon Square, has a clean and inviting brick exterior, making it easy to find.
Upon seeing the menu outside, the marinated beef short ribs looked incredibly appetizing. The fact that they operate their own meat processing factory reassured us of the quality and affordability.
The interior of the restaurant is neat, with ample space between tables, making it comfortable for dining. The warm lighting creates a perfect ambiance for enjoying grilled meat.
The representative menu items include:
1) Fresh Beef Short Ribs (29,500 KRW)
2) 3mm Pork Belly (27,500 KRW)
3) Life-Changing Pork Skin (6,500 KRW)
The variety of sauces served as side dishes added to the fun of dipping the meat, each with its unique flavor, allowing us to choose according to our preferences.
One spicy sauce caught my attention, and it turned out to be deliciously spicy, enhancing the meat's flavor without being overwhelming.
Additionally, various sauces complemented the meat, ranging from nutty to zesty flavors, pairing well with the dishes.
We enjoyed the cute mini sushi rice that was served, allowing us to create mini sushi rolls with the grilled meat.
The 3mm pork belly was a special menu item, thinly sliced and visually appealing. As soon as it hit the grill, the enticing aroma of the fat filled the air, and its thinness meant it cooked quickly.
The perfectly grilled pork belly was crispy on the outside while retaining its juiciness, making it visually appealing and mouthwatering.
Dipping it lightly in salt brought out the meat's natural flavors, and despite being fatty, it tasted clean and delicious.
Pairing it with wasabi mushroom added a different dimension, as the sharp wasabi flavor balanced the richness of the pork.
Next, we tried the pork skin, which had a thick and impressive appearance, and we were already looking forward to its chewy texture.
As it grilled, the pork skin turned golden brown, and the savory aroma filled the restaurant, making our mouths water.
Trying it with curry powder was surprisingly delightful, adding a unique flavor to the nutty pork skin.
We also ordered the marinated beef short ribs, which looked mouthwatering with their rich seasoning. The marinade was well absorbed, promising a flavorful experience.
Dipping it in salt enhanced the beef's sweetness, and the tender texture made it increasingly enjoyable with each bite.
To finish our meal, we opted for cold noodles, which were refreshing and had a nice chewy texture, perfect after the grilled meat.
Mixing the noodles well with the sauce brought out a delightful sweet and sour flavor, and the chewy noodles paired wonderfully with the savory taste.
We also ordered spicy cold noodles, which looked appetizing with their vibrant color. They were spicy yet savory, making them hard to resist.
Overall, my experience at Geumsung Salt House was fantastic, with a variety of meats and delicious sauces that perfectly suited my taste. I highly recommend visiting this place again!
