A Delightful Beef Dining Experience Near Geumjeong Station

While searching for a place to enjoy beef near Geumjeong Station, I came across Baegun Chuksan, which felt like a great choice for family dining or gatherings.
Baegun Chuksan is known for its excellent value beef, making it ideal for family meals or group gatherings.
The restaurant has a clean interior with well-spaced tables, making it comfortable for dining. However, since I visited after work, the restaurant was quite busy, and I couldn't take many photos of the interior.
The menu is prominently displayed on the wall, and orders can be placed via kiosks available at each table. We had made a reservation for three, so our table was already set with the basic side dishes.
At the self-service corner, we helped ourselves to additional vegetables, garlic, and ssamjang, as I enjoy eating beef wrapped in lettuce.
Since there were three of us, we ordered a small beef set, bomb steamed eggs, yukhoe (raw beef), and kimchi noodles.
The restaurant provides storage for personal belongings under the chairs and offers disposable aprons for guests. There is also a self-service bar for additional side dishes.
They are currently running a receipt review event, which is worth participating in!
Regarding pricing and distribution, this restaurant sources its meat through its own distribution network, which eliminates middleman costs. This allows customers to enjoy various cuts like beef brisket, chuck flap, and ribs at relatively reasonable prices.
Given the current beef prices, this restaurant is a more affordable option, especially for family outings or larger groups. It’s a relief to enjoy different cuts without worrying about the cost.
As soon as we placed our order, the food was promptly prepared. The wait staff heated up the doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) while setting our table, and it started bubbling just in time for our meal. The stew was thicker than usual, making it a perfect complement to the beef when feeling a bit greasy.
When the beef was served, we were advised to start with the beef brisket, which cooked quickly. I love wrapping the beef in lettuce.
The combination of beef brisket, lettuce, green onion kimchi, and garlic was fantastic. My husband remarked, 'This place has the best green onion kimchi!' It was indeed delicious, and we ended up refilling it.
As we enjoyed the beef, the bomb steamed eggs were served, and they looked amazing. The visual appeal was outstanding, and the taste was equally impressive.
We grilled the chuck flap and savored the yukhoe, which was incredibly tender and flavorful. Overall, I was very satisfied with the quality of the meat.
Using a special cast iron grill, the restaurant has perfected its aging techniques over more than a decade, enhancing the flavor of the meat. The grill evenly distributes heat, preventing the meat from burning while retaining its juices.
My daughter remarked how generous the portions were while grilling the meat, and she seemed to enjoy every bite.
One of the highlights was the unlimited refills of doenjang jjigae, which helped balance the richness of the meat and made the meal more enjoyable. Basic side dishes are also refillable, which is especially advantageous for longer family meals.
Even though we claimed to be full, we couldn’t resist the kimchi noodles when they arrived. The portion was substantial, and the refreshing broth was a perfect way to conclude our meal.
In summary, Baegun Chuksan offers good quality meat at reasonable prices, allowing guests to enjoy various cuts in one visit. It’s a practical choice for family dining or corporate gatherings, accommodating group reservations for five or more.
If you're looking for a beef restaurant near Geumjeong Station, I highly recommend it for family dining or group meetings.
