A Delicious Noodle Soup Experience in Pyeongchang-dong: Pyeongchang-dong Kalguksu

Hello, everyone! It's Susu!
Today, I'm sharing my review of a fantastic kalguksu (Korean noodle soup) restaurant in Pyeongchang-dong that I visited over the weekend! When you're driving around Pyeongchang-dong and craving a warm, comforting meal, you know where to go.
There was a perfect place for just that. This Pyeongchang-dong kalguksu restaurant is already well-known for its clean and generous menu. I went with high expectations, especially because they are famous for their deep and flavorful broth made from Korean beef bone and their handmade dumplings!
Pyeongchang-dong Kalguksu
Location
Pyeongchang-dong Kalguksu isn't hard to find as it's located in the center of Pyeongchang-dong. There's also plenty of parking, making it convenient to visit by car. There are many galleries and cafes nearby, making it a great place for a post-meal stroll! It's also considered a popular date spot for couples in Pyeongchang-dong. It's so popular that there's already a waiting line during lunchtime.
Atmosphere
The restaurant has a clean and cozy atmosphere. The tables are spaced far apart, making for a relaxed dining experience, and there were many families dining there.
What's more, there's a station where they make dumplings by hand, so you can feel the care and effort from the moment you walk in. It's busy during lunchtime, but the turnover is quick, so you can get a seat quickly. I'd recommend it as a comfortable place for lunch in Pyeongchang-dong.
Deeper inside, there's a quieter area, and even with just a fan running, the air conditioning from outside still reaches it, so it's cool and comfortable.
What I Ate
On this day, I tried the Korean Beef Bone Kalguksu, the Yeolmu Bibim Kalguksu (cold spicy noodles with young radish kimchi), and the handmade dumplings. You can enjoy each dish separately, but ordering them together makes for a more satisfying meal.
First, the side dishes! For kalguksu, kimchi is essential, right?
The kimchi was delicious, so it was a pass!
It's a little spicy, but it's so addictive...
First of all, the broth of the Korean Beef Bone Kalguksu was exceptional. The richly brewed Korean beef bone broth was deep and savory, and I felt warm as soon as I took a bite. The noodles were chewy and firm, perfectly complementing the broth. It was definitely the signature dish of Pyeongchang-dong Kalguksu. It filled me up nicely, so it would be perfect for lunch in Pyeongchang-dong in the summer.
Next is the Yeolmu Bibim Kalguksu! Personally, it was my best menu of the day. Crispy young radish kimchi and spicy-sweet sauce were well mixed with kalguksu noodles, so I could enjoy it refreshingly and coolly.
It's a different charm from broth kalguksu, so it's really good to order and eat together. Especially because it has a clean taste, it's a popular menu item for many people in the summer. Thanks to that, I felt once again why it's called a Pyeongchang-dong restaurant.
They even give you soup when you order bibim kalguksu!
Finally, the handmade dumplings! They make the dumpling wrappers by hand here, so the filling is full and savory. !!
The meat and vegetables were harmoniously mixed together, so I felt full even after eating just one. It was also delicious to dip it in kalguksu soup. I can fully understand why this place is also called a Pyeongchang-dong dumpling restaurant.
Final Thoughts
Overall, this visit was really satisfying. It's a place where you can enjoy warm broth, refreshing bibim flavors, and hearty dumplings, so it's a good place to go with anyone. Especially for couples, the atmosphere is nice, and it's connected to nearby cafes and walking trails, making it a perfect Pyeongchang-dong date course. It's a menu that you can enjoy without feeling burdened during lunchtime, so it was a Pyeongchang-dong lunch restaurant that I want to visit again next time!!
