특별한 순간

While searching for a place to have lunch near Jeju Osulloc Tea Museum, I discovered Pungro Black, a well-known restaurant in the Daejeong area. The ample parking and spacious interior gave a sense of stability from the moment I stepped inside. More than anything, the many positive reviews about the quality of the meat made me excited upon arrival.

Name: Pungro Black Main Branch

Address: 2nd floor, Mamattel Shopping Center, 423 Sinhwa Yeoksa-ro, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju

Hours: 12:00 - 21:30

Located on the 2nd floor of the Mamattel Shopping Center near Sinhwa History Park, Pungro Black had a luxurious atmosphere, making it a great lunch spot near Jeju Osulloc.

The restaurant consists of four-person tables and a counter seating area, creating a cozy and private atmosphere that enhanced the dining experience.

The signature black pork omakase, featuring six different cuts, heightened expectations from the start, making it an excellent choice for lunch near Jeju Osulloc.

The basic side dishes, including seasoned radish salad, pickled garlic scapes, white kimchi, and whole-grain mustard, were clean and refreshing, complementing the meat perfectly and making it easy to enjoy.

I was satisfied with the grilling system, where the staff grilled the meat right in front of me, eliminating any stress and allowing me to enjoy the optimal taste from beginning to end.

The chilled corn soup was savory and refreshing, making it the perfect appetizer and naturally raising my expectations for the meal.

The Caesar salad, which came out second, was refreshing and prepared my palate for the rich meat dishes.

The pork skirt meat and zucchini skewers were a great start to the course, harmonizing savory and subtly sweet flavors to accentuate the inherent taste of the meat.

The juicy pork skirt meat was moist with every bite, leaving a lasting impression that any meat lover would appreciate.

The pork sirloin and shishito pepper skewers, served with mashed potatoes, were savory and tender, melting comfortably in my mouth.

The lean pork sirloin was savory and tender, making it irresistibly appealing and enjoyable without being too heavy.

The pork cheek and rind offered distinct textures, and the well-balanced combination made it a delightful course with a variety of flavors.

The pork cheek, with its beef-like juiciness, was tender and left a savory taste in my mouth.

The rind, which has a higher fat content than the pork cheek, was chewy and fun to eat, offering a unique taste.

A bite of refreshing and sweet fruit was perfect for cleansing the palate after the rich meat, naturally balancing the overall course.

The pork diaphragm and mushroom skewers, served with truffle oil garlic sauce, were rich in flavor, adding depth to each bite and enhancing satisfaction.

The combination of chewy pork diaphragm and the aroma of truffle oil was excellent, leaving a luxurious aftertaste.

The cold barley kimchi noodles, with their chewy noodles and refreshing, tangy flavor, were a perfect ending to the Jeju Osulloc lunch.

The sous vide pork tenderloin cutlet, topped with hallabong mayo, was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, with a tender and well-defined meat texture, making it a high-quality side dish.

The miso-marinated pork jowl and eggplant skewers, plated on magnolia leaves, had a savory and subtly miso flavor that naturally continued the flow of the meal.

The chewy pork jowl and enoki mushrooms harmonized with the subtle miso flavor to create a luxurious taste, balancing the course progression.

The grilled pork belly, served with barley ssamjang (dipping sauce) and vegetable wraps, was flavorful, savory, and well-balanced with the sauce, making it hard to resist.

The pork belly was juicy, bursting with savory flavor with every bite, and the rich taste left me wanting to come back again.

The broth, simmered for a long time with mud crabs, had an outstanding savory taste and a soothing flavor that comforted my stomach.

The meal ended with a Pig Bar-flavored tiramisu and plum tea, a delightful combination of sweetness and tanginess that pleasantly concluded the entire course. Choosing Pungro Black for my Jeju Osulloc lunch was an excellent decision, and the diverse offerings and satisfying taste made it a special meal.

Leaving the restaurant, I immediately understood why Pungro Black has so many repeat customers. The quality of the meat, the attentiveness of the staff, and the overall composition of the meal were all impeccable, making for a pleasant dining experience. It's undoubtedly a great lunch option near Jeju Osulloc, and I naturally want to visit again on my next trip to Jeju.
