A Delicious Lunch at Gondre Jjimdeure in Yongin

A while ago, I went for a weekend drive with my family and visited a great lunch spot in Cheoin-gu, Yongin.
The food was so delicious and the value was excellent, so I'd like to recommend it as one of the best lunch restaurants in Yongin.
Gondre Jjimdeure Yongin Branch
Address: 104, 31, Myeongji-ro, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do
Hours: Daily 11:00 - 23:00, Closed every Monday
I visited this restaurant, a known spot in Gogiri, Yongin, past lunchtime, and the parasols outside caught my eye.
It's good to note that Gondre Jjimdeure Yongin is closed every Monday.
Moreover, this lunch 맛집 in Cheoin-gu, Yongin, is located in a place with a very large parking lot, making parking easy.
Parking is also free, making it a great place to eat and relax.
The interior has a warm atmosphere with its wooden interior, and the spacious seating arrangement made it comfortable.
The neatly arranged table setting gave me the impression that the place was hygienic.
I was surprised that the menu was so simple.
I've heard that restaurants with fewer menu items are usually 맛집, so I was really looking forward to it.
The signature dish, braised pork ribs (deunggalbijjim), is made with domestically produced pork that is boiled fresh daily.
It comes in spicy, medium, and soy sauce flavors. I ordered the medium flavor, which is about the spiciness of Shin Ramyun.
The menu clearly shows which dishes are most popular depending on the number of people.
You can also order additional toppings such as udon noodles, rice cakes, glass noodles, and mushrooms.
I finally tasted the Yangpun Braised Ribs, which I had been wanting to try, and the table setting was impressive.
We ordered all the dishes, and the meat was served boiling in a pot, so we could cook it a little more while eating.
The side dishes were simple but delicious, and the pickled radish was especially good.
The bean sprouts were also savory, and they told us it would be even more delicious if we boiled them in the soup.
The buckwheat pancake was thin and savory, so we ordered it twice.
It's not oily like crispy seafood pancakes, so it's not too heavy even if you eat a lot, making it easy for children and the elderly to enjoy.
When you roll it up like a wrap, it has a texture between bread and rice cake, which is very savory.
The bok choy inside enhances the flavor, and it's so savory that you can keep eating it like toast.
You can eat it as is for a mild flavor, but if you find it bland, you can dip it in the soy sauce that comes with it.
You can also wrap it with the ribs like a tortilla, making a delicious wrap.
There are a lot of mushrooms on top, but they shrink when soaked in the soup.
If you start eating them then, the flavor is just right.
The spicy aroma was intense, which was good enough to recommend this restaurant.
As it simmers, the soup permeates the mushrooms, making them really delicious and spicy.
The more it simmers, the more the flavor seems to intensify.
The ribs are simmered until they are tender and easily separated from the bone, making them easy to eat.
They are cooked so that they are not tough, so there is no difficulty in picking them off the bone.
Adding bean sprouts to this was also fun.
I quickly scooped up a spoonful and tore it apart with my hands, and the flavor was so stress-relieving that it was very attractive.
If you take the meat, remove the bones in advance, and eat it with rice, the spiciness reaches its peak.
At this time, eating the gondre rice is a perfect match, which is why I recommend this restaurant.
The gondre rice, which is made by adding rice to gondre greens and cooking it directly, is the restaurant's signature dish.
It was my first time eating it since I had it in Gangwon-do, and here, it was cut into small pieces for easy eating, making it very easy to chew.
I tried eating the rice as is, and the texture was fluffy and the aroma of the greens was so good that I felt like I was in the mountains.
I tried adding a little seasoned soy sauce, and the sesame oil flavor enhanced the taste.
If you find it bland to eat as is, you can put the ribs on top with the sauce, and the spiciness is neutralized.
The aroma of the gondre greens is more intense, making it a much better match than white rice.
I also tried wrapping it with the buckwheat pancake, which was good and savory.
I was so addicted to the buckwheat pancake that I kept thinking about the taste even after I came home.
When I wrapped the buckwheat pancake with rice and meat and ate it like a wrap, the three foods went together like a perfect harmony.
The subtle flavor of Gangwon-do food is charming.
We mixed soju and beer together, except for the driver who couldn't drink.
It went perfectly with the spicy food, so I relieved my stress here!
Gondre Jjimdeure, as the name suggests, was a charming place with gondre rice and braised ribs.
