A Delicious Korean BBQ Experience at Yukzbi Junggok in Geoje

Hello, I'm Mango!
We make it a point to eat meat at least once a week, and this time we visited Yukzbi Junggok, a famous Korean BBQ restaurant in Geoje. I'm excited to share my review.

Before I dive into the details of Yukzbi Junggok, here’s a glimpse of the delicious meat we enjoyed.
Grilling the kimchi and bean sprouts alongside the meat made it extra delicious!
Yukzbi Junggok prides itself on being a “Korean BBQ restaurant with kindness, service, and heart.” Their motto, “We grill deliciously and serve with sincerity,” was truly reflected in our experience.
Perhaps that's why the restaurant was so busy!
We visited on a weekend and parked at Junggok Elementary School before walking to Yukzbi.
The interior is spacious. Besides the area I photographed, there's a separate room in the back that can be reserved for group events, making it ideal for company dinners or family gatherings.

Another great thing? We visited on a hot day, but the air conditioning inside was fantastic, making our Korean BBQ experience cool and comfortable.
I also appreciated how the staff greeted every customer upon arrival and departure.
Here's the basic table setting at Yukzbi Junggok:
Fresh lettuce, pickled radish wraps, pickled myungyi leaves, bean sprouts, and kimchi.
They also provide a generous serving of Doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew) as a complimentary dish. It's not a skimpy, basic stew at all!
It's packed with tofu, zucchini, onions, and other vegetables. (I could easily devour a bowl of rice with just the stew alone!)

This is the menu at Yukzbi Junggok, a popular spot for Samgyeopsal (pork belly) in Geoje. We ordered two servings of Samgyeopsal and one serving of Moksal (pork shoulder).
Only 12,000 won per serving! Three servings are plenty for two people, so we always order two Samgyeopsal and one Moksal when we come to Yukzbi.
After heating up the pan, they placed mushrooms and onions on it, then added the meat.
One of the best things about Yukzbi Junggok? The staff grills the meat for you!

The friendly staff expertly grills the meat to the perfect level of doneness and cuts it into bite-sized pieces, so all we have to do is enjoy!
They even arrange the grilled meat neatly for us. :)
What's the finishing touch?

Grilling kimchi and bean sprouts together!
They place the cooked meat in front of us, so we can just dig in.
The seasoned green onion salad is the real highlight. Eating the Samgyeopsal and Moksal with it is absolutely delicious!
It's also delicious wrapped in myungyi leaves, dipped in teriyaki sauce, wasabi, or simply with salt.

I'm usually a Samgyeopsal person, but the Moksal at Yukzbi is also incredibly tender and delicious. Most importantly, there's no gamey smell at all.
Yukzbi Junggok in Geoje offers tender meat and generous portions.
As the restaurant's name suggests, the meat is full of juicy flavor!
Yukzbi is so well-known in Geoje that everyone at my company is familiar with it.
After enjoying our satisfying meal of three servings, they even provide air freshener and candies to eliminate any lingering meat smells.

If you're looking for a Korean BBQ restaurant in Geoje where they grill the meat for you, or a place with generous portions and delicious food, I highly recommend visiting Yukzbi Junggok!
(I've posted about Yukzbi before because it's such a delicious place. Definitely check it out!)
