A Delicious Jeju Black Pork Experience: Gogi Mukja in Gijang, Busan!

Hello everyone! :)
I posted about Gogi Mukja, a pork restaurant in Gijang, last time.
I raved about it being one of the best *ogyeopsal* (thick-cut pork belly) places I've had recently! Well, I recently revisited it.
Today, I'm posting about Gogi Mukja, a Busan Gijang *ogyeopsal* 맛집 (delicious restaurant).
Here's a video of Gogi Mukja, the delicious *ogyeopsal* restaurant in Gijang, Busan!
This is the entrance to Gogi Mukja.
Gogi Mukja specializes in *ogyeopsal* and *samgyeopsal* (pork belly) directly delivered from Jeju Island.
I visited at 8 PM on a Friday. Even though it was a little past dinner time, it was still bustling with people.
Luckily, there was one table available, so I was able to eat! The menu is on the tables and also displayed largely on the wall.
We ordered a small (400g) portion of Jeju *ogyeopsal*.
Their *yeolmu* (young radish) cold noodles are so delicious, so I immediately ordered a bowl of *yeolmu* cold noodles in broth. They're also running a Naver receipt event where you can get a free drink!
Here are the basic side dishes.
They provide *baechu kimchi* (napa cabbage kimchi), *pa kimchi* (scallion kimchi), three kinds of pickled vegetables, seasoned sliced onions, seasoned sliced scallions, steamed egg, and kimchi pancake all as complimentary side dishes.
Gogi Mukja has a self-serve bar with *ssam* (wraps) and vegetables that they grow themselves!
It seems like they farm on a pretty large scale. This is the small portion of Jeju *ogyeopsal* that we ordered.
The *ogyeopsal* is thick and has a vibrant, light pink color.
Maybe because it's directly delivered from Jeju Island, the freshness is definitely different.
The meat is such high quality that it can't possibly taste bad. The *ogyeopsal* is thick and juicy.
Wrapping it in well-fermented *pa kimchi*, the *pa kimchi* balances the greasy taste of the pork. It eliminates any lingering greasiness, and the spicy and tangy flavor of the *pa kimchi* goes really well with the pork.
This is why Gogi Mukja is such a great *ogyeopsal* restaurant! This is why I came back! Hehe.
Next, the *yeolmu* cold noodles came out. They are served with so much shaved ice, just looking at it makes me feel refreshed and my mouth water.
The *yeolmu* cold noodles have a refreshing and clean taste that really cleanses your palate.
The unique fresh scent and crunchy texture of the *yeolmu* is amazing, and the cool broth gets rid of the heat, making me feel refreshed! LOL
Eating the *ogyeopsal* with the *yeolmu* cold noodles, the sour and savory flavors are so delicious!
I'm also curious about the *yeolmu bibim* (mixed) noodles, but I kept thinking about the taste of the *yeolmu* cold noodles, so I couldn't bring myself to order the *bibim* noodles. TT;;
We were still a little hungry, so we added two servings of Jeju *naeng-ppol-sal* (pork cheek meat).
It was my first time trying *naeng-ppol-sal*, and it had a chewy texture and savory flavor. And the mushrooms grilled on the grill were also delicious. The enoki mushrooms were crispy, and the king oyster mushrooms were moist.
There are refreshments near the counter and hair ties.
The owner even gave me candy, so I ate it the next day. Hehe.
Operating Hours:

Overall:
The meat quality is fresh and delicious because it's *ogyeopsal* directly delivered from Jeju Island.
The self-serve bar also features vegetables and *ssam* that they grow themselves, so you can see that they put a lot of care into the restaurant.
If you're looking for a great *ogyeopsal* restaurant in Gijang, I recommend Gogi Mukja!
