I had heard many stories about how amazing the rice is here in Icheon. This time, I finally found a truly great restaurant.

I received quite a few recommendations from people around me, so my expectations were high. After visiting, I immediately understood why it was so highly praised.

Today, I want to introduce you to a hot spot for Icheon rice meals: Eohyangmiga.


Icheon Rice Meal Eohyangmiga Grilled Fish

- Exterior and Hours

The restaurant is located at 1st floor, 3066 Gyeongchung-daero, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. It was easy to find using navigation.

The exterior of the restaurant was neat and gave off a traditional Korean restaurant vibe without being overly extravagant, which made me feel comfortable from the start.

I couldn't help but think, "This place must have delicious rice!"

Eohyangmiga's operating hours are from 09:00 to 21:00, with a break time from 16:00 to 17:00. Keep these times in mind when you visit.

Last order is at 20:00, so it's best not to arrive too late.

The restaurant is closed every Tuesday, so please take note of that as well.

The parking space is very spacious, making it convenient to visit with multiple cars.

It's a great place for family gatherings or for taking elders out for a meal.


- Interior Atmosphere

The interior was quite spacious.

The tables were spaced generously, and the restrooms were separated for men and women, which made me feel like they paid attention to hygiene and convenience.

There were various private rooms available, making it suitable for birthday parties, company dinners, milestone birthday celebrations, and even family introductions.

Overall, the atmosphere wasn't too casual, nor was it overly formal, making it a great place to bring anyone for a Korean set menu meal.


- Various Menu Options

Sitting down and looking at the menu at this Icheon rice restaurant, I was surprised by the variety of options, including fish, meat, dried yellow corvina, and steamed dishes.

The most popular choice for first-time visitors is the Eohyang Set for 4 people, so we decided to go with that without hesitation!

It cost 80,000 won for 4 people, and the generous portions made me wonder if the price was correct. It was excellent value for money.

Eohyangmiga, already well-known as an Icheon rice restaurant, uses only Icheon rice to cook their rice.

As someone who believes that rice is the most important part of a Korean set menu, I was especially pleased with this aspect.


- Signature Eohyang Set for 4

Now, let me tell you about the Eohyang Set for 4.

It was served so generously that it felt like a king's meal.


- 3 Grilled Fish (Mackerel, Sailfin Sandfish, Flatfish)

First, the grilled fish, which can be considered the restaurant's signature dish, was delicious and appetizing.

Instead of just one fish, a generous serving of three fish – mackerel, sailfin sandfish, and flatfish – was served.

The fish wasn't overly oily or dry. The skin was slightly crispy, while the flesh remained moist and tender.

It felt like the fish was grilled with great care!

I was particularly satisfied with the sailfin sandfish, which had a soft texture and a subtle nutty flavor.

The mackerel had no fishy taste and was very savory.

The flatfish was fun to eat because of the bones, and the more you chewed, the more savory it tasted.

I understood why people travel from afar to visit this grilled fish restaurant.


- Stir-fried Spicy Pork

The second main dish was stir-fried spicy pork!

The pork had a strong smoky flavor, making it hard to put down my chopsticks!

The seasoning wasn't overly sweet or spicy, and the meat itself was very tender!

Eating only fish might have felt a bit lacking, but the spicy pork was so delicious that it made the overall meal feel much more abundant.


- Seasoned Deodeok Root

The third dish was seasoned deodeok root. The unique fragrance of deodeok was preserved, it wasn't tough, and the seasoning was just right.

It's a subtle rice thief.


- 4 Stone Pot Rice

And then, the highlight of the meal: 4 stone pots of rice appeared.

As soon as I opened the lid, a savory aroma wafted out, making me feel satisfied.

The rice grains were intact, glossy, and sticky, making it delicious even on its own.

As expected from an Icheon rice restaurant, I enjoyed making scorched rice with the leftover rice. Isn't it perfect?


- Basic Side Dishes and Soybean Paste Stew

The basic side dishes were also neatly presented, and they change slightly depending on the season.

Each dish wasn't overly seasoned, and the overall combination was harmonious.

The overall composition was truly a generous spread!

It was filling and satisfying even for four people.

In particular, the flavors and generous portions were perfect for older people, so I highly recommend Eohyangmiga to those looking for a family dining option in Icheon.

The soybean paste stew was not too salty and had a deep flavor, complementing all the dishes, including the fish, spicy pork, and deodeok root.

Looking at the menu, there were also options like green tea dried yellow corvina, braised cutlassfish, and braised short ribs, so I made a pact with the people I went with to try different combinations next time!

It's such a delicious place that I'm 1000% sure I'll visit again.

If you search for Icheon rice restaurants, you'll find quite a few options!

It can be hard to decide which one to choose.

But if you're looking for a truly great place, or if you enjoy the perfect combination of grilled fish and rice,

or if you want a Korean set menu with a generous spread,

I think Eohyangmiga is a choice you won't regret!

This was my first visit, but I'll probably go back soon and leave a review of other menu items.

It was a place where I could honestly say I had a great meal.
