A Delicious Discovery: Gyeonggi Gapyeong Yeonho Dakgalbi Makguksu - My New Favorite Dakgalbi Spot!

August 2025
Our family visited a valley in late summer!
We went to Myeongjisan Valley in Gapyeong's Myeongjisan Provincial Park.
Feeling it was too early to go straight home, we decided to have an early dinner before parting ways!
Looking for a great restaurant near Gapyeong Station and the Gapyeong Terminal, close to Myeongjisan Mountain...
And found this amazing Dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken) place near Nami Island!
To be honest, there are tons of Dakgalbi restaurants near Nami Island and Jaraseom Island, but I've never really thought any of them were particularly delicious.
I wanted to try something else, but my family wanted Dakgalbi, so we went there by chance.
It was so delicious that I've decided that Yeonho is where we'll be going for Dakgalbi near Gapyeong, Nami Island, and Jaraseom Island from now on!
A real hidden gem in Gapyeong that I discovered and paid for myself!
Near Gapyeong Station and Gapyeong Terminal!
Gapyeong Yeonho Dakgalbi Makguksu
It's not right in front of Nami Island or Jaraseom Island, but a little further up!
But everything on the menu is delicious, and the unique Chicken Gizzard Stir-fry is so good that from now on...
...Gapyeong Yeonho Dakgalbi Makguksu will be our go-to place for Nami Island, Gapyeong, and Gapyeong Dakgalbi!
It's become my favorite Dakgalbi place!
The parking space was also spacious, perhaps because it wasn't right in front of Nami Island.
It was during an ambiguous weekday dinner time...LOL.
But I bet it's a popular restaurant with a waiting line on weekends.
It was around 4 PM, a weird time on a weekday...
...but there were still quite a few people there.
I bet it's a popular restaurant with a waiting line on weekends.
I'll have to target weekdays and come here often.
Gapyeong Yeonho Dakgalbi Makguksu had a great view.
Looking at the reviews, many recommend it as a local favorite or a recommendation from nearby pensions and campsites.
It's really a hidden gem...????????????????
If you've booked a campsite in Gapyeong, I recommend stopping by here and getting Dakgalbi or Chicken Gizzard to go.
Yeonho Dakgalbi Menu Price
Since it's a Dakgalbi restaurant, Dakgalbi is the main dish!
However, they have a chicken gizzard menu that you can't find in other Dakgalbi restaurants.
If you usually like organ meats, this is a highly recommended menu item!!
We mixed 2 servings of Dakgalbi with 1 serving of Chicken Gizzard.

As it's located near a valley in Gapyeong, you can also order Chicken Baeksuk (Korean chicken soup) or Braised Spicy Chicken Stew as limited menu items if you book in advance.
The owner's cooking skills are great, so I think all the limited menu items will be delicious.
Now that I've discovered a great deep valley in Gapyeong...
...I'll have to diligently visit the valley next summer and come here often. Hehe.

Because there are so many of us, we ordered 3 servings and 3 servings.
I love organ meats, but unfortunately, the older sister sitting with me doesn't eat them, so our table only had 3 servings of Dakgalbi. Sigh...
Next time, I'll have to squeeze in at the men's table.
The staff come and go, stir-frying the Dakgalbi for you.
Everyone was so friendly, which was great.

Deliciously cooked Dakgalbi.
Because my dad can't eat Charcoal Grilled Dakgalbi...
...I looked for a Stir-fried Dakgalbi restaurant.

While the Dakgalbi was cooking, we also ordered Makguksu (buckwheat noodles).
They said it takes a while because the noodles are made fresh, so we ordered it in advance while the Dakgalbi was being stir-fried.
So that the flow of eating doesn't get interrupted...

I usually like to add udon noodles, but because we ordered Makguksu, potato pancakes, and other things...
...we skipped the udon noodles!!

It's moderately spicy and has a savory, delicious Stir-fried Dakgalbi.

It's Stir-fried Dakgalbi made with only chicken thigh meat, without any tough pieces.
A Stir-fried Dakgalbi restaurant with chicken thigh meat that kids will love.
Recommended Gapyeong Stir-fried Dakgalbi restaurant

I also wanted to try the Chicken Gizzard, so I swiped some from the next table!!
It was my first time eating Stir-fried Chicken Gizzard, and it was chewy and had a great texture.
The savory flavor unique to organ meats came up, making it even more delicious than Dakgalbi.
Next time, I'll come with my husband and order half and half!!

Rice balls ordered for the kids.
Rice balls with finely chopped yellow pickled radish.

Water Makguksu and Spicy Makguksu, extra large.
We ordered everything extra large to share among several people.
We ordered it in advance while the Dakgalbi was cooking.
It came out perfectly timed as we were finishing our meal.

Both the Spicy Makguksu and the Water Makguksu are delicious.
The buckwheat noodles are made fresh, so they're savory.
The texture was soft and great.
Even my 5-year-old ate the Water Makguksu well.

Potato pancake ordered for my potato pancake-loving niece.
When you order it, they grate the potatoes and make it right away, so it takes a while.
But it's crispy and delicious because of that.

Really, everything on the menu was delicious.
It was a restaurant that the whole family was satisfied with.

At the cashier, they also sell gift-packaged Makgeolli (Korean rice wine).
You can also buy Korean peppers that they grew themselves.
I also bought a bag of scorched rice crackers, lol.
If you pay in cash, they also give you taffy and yakgwa (Korean honey cookies)!!

The whole family enjoyed it so much...
...that I packed Dakgalbi and Chicken Gizzard for my younger sibling who couldn't come.
If you pack it uncooked, they give you more!
Highly recommend packing it to go when camping in Gapyeong.
I really want to stop by next time I go camping and pack the Chicken Gizzard to go.

Everyone ate their fill, were satisfied, and went home.

I was just visiting Gapyeong Valley and stumbled upon this place after a quick search.
I was so satisfied because it was so delicious.
My honest review of Gapyeong Yeonho Dakgalbi Makguksu!
If you come here, be sure to try the Chicken Gizzard. Hehe.
