A Delicious Braised Pollack Experience at Samhaejinmi Donghae Wang Kodari Pangyo

After a long day at work, my husband and I were trying to decide where to have dinner. We stumbled upon the newly opened Samhaejinmi Donghae Wang Kodari in Pangyo. My husband and I absolutely love braised pollack (kodari) and grilled fish, so the moment we saw the restaurant sign, we knew we had to try it. After our visit, I understood why it's already becoming popular among Pangyo residents. It's definitely a braised pollack restaurant worth recommending!

Located near the entrance of Pangyo Namseoul CC, the restaurant is in a three-story building. The exterior is eye-catching, and the ample parking space makes it very convenient to visit by car. It's an ideal spot for families or company dinners, with private rooms available for groups of 15 or more.

Inside, the interior is modern and clean. The ocean and landscape paintings on the walls create a refreshing and pleasant atmosphere, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. From this aspect alone, I already felt like this was a restaurant I'd want to become a regular at.

For our meal, we chose the small size of the Wang Kodari (King Braised Pollack).

Side dishes are an essential part of any Korean meal, and the ones here were all neat and delicious. The seaweed soup was savory and rich with perilla seed broth, and the seasoned bean sprouts and braised lotus root were so tasty that I kept reaching for them.

What I loved most was the self-service bar! I could refill various side dishes like kimchi, bean sprouts, seaweed stems, and seasoned radish as much as I wanted, allowing me to enjoy a satisfying and filling meal. These dishes complemented the main dish, the braised pollack, perfectly. The satisfying experience naturally led me to think, "This is truly a hidden gem!"

The generously portioned braised pollack was appetizing just to look at. The glossy red sauce was evenly coating the pollack, and as soon as I took a bite, the spicy yet sweet and savory flavors filled my mouth. The pollack was moist and chewy, and the broth was rich and flavorful. It was incredibly delicious!

Thanks to the spicy sauce, one bowl of rice was a must, and honestly, I could have eaten all the rice with just the broth alone. It felt like the sauce was a result of years of refinement. It's definitely a proper braised pollack restaurant, living up to its name.

The staff were also very friendly, making my first visit a comfortable and pleasant dining experience. Although I only tried the Wang Kodari this time, the menu mentioned that the wood-fired grilled fish is also a popular dish. They use a basalt kiln to grill the fish at a high temperature of 550 degrees Celsius, and I'm really curious to taste it! Next time, I'm definitely going to try the wood-fired grilled fish. Since I was so satisfied with just the braised pollack, I'm sure I can trust them with other dishes as well.

Samhaejinmi Donghae Wang Kodari Pangyo has it all: taste, atmosphere, service, and convenient parking. I highly recommend the spicy and savory braised pollack. If you're looking for a great braised pollack restaurant in Pangyo, I strongly recommend this place. It's perfect for family outings, gatherings with friends, company dinners, or just a delicious meal!

If you enjoy spicy fish dishes, I confidently recommend Samhaejinmi Donghae Wang Kodari Pangyo. Be sure to visit and enjoy a satisfying meal at a proper braised pollack restaurant.
