(Scroll to the bottom for the course itinerary!)

I'm not usually one for waiting in lines or visiting trendy hot spots. I hate crowds and find waiting tiresome. But after hearing so much about Bak Tugi's salt bread, I finally left the house at 7:30 AM on a weekday to try it...⭐️

Before going, I checked other blogs and saw people were already lining up for the waiting list by 8:30 AM, even on weekdays…?!

<Decibel Bakery>

- Closed on Mondays

- Purchase limit: 3 per person

Yeah... it was true. I parked nearby at 8:50 AM and joined the line, but when I registered on the Tabling app, I was number 75...^^ People are so diligent...ㅠ

After registering for the waiting list, it was 9:30 AM. Opening time is 11:00 AM... But my number was 75!!!! I wondered what to do, so I came up with an impromptu plan, XXXP style.

“I'M DONUT!!!!!”

Special Moment

I recently saw on Instagram that ‘I'M DONUT,’ originally from Japan, had opened in Seongsu!

9:30 AM: Registered for Decibel Bakery waiting list.

????????

Drove about 5 minutes to ‘I'M DONUT’ and parked nearby to join their waiting list. (If you walk, it takes about 18 minutes according to Naver Mapsㅠ)

<I'M DONUT>

- No closed days

- Purchase limit: 11 per person

Happy Time

The wait at ‘I'M DONUT’ was much easier than at ‘Decibel Bakery’...ㅎ I arrived around 9:40 AM and was able to register for the Tabling waitlist at 9:50 AM!

‘I'M DONUT’ opens at 10:00 AM, so after waiting in the car for a bit, it seemed like number 50 could get in before 11:00 AM.

When my number got close, I lined up in front of the store. The staff let you pick two random stickers if you follow their Instagram account ㅎㅎ But my sister and I ended up with the same design three times...

They're so cute and adorable... I didn't get a chance to take a group shot of all the donutsㅠㅠ My sister and I bought 11 each, for a total of 22, which cost 88,000 won;;;

Touching Scene

If you buy 11 and get them boxed, they pack them in a random combination of 7-count and 4-count boxes.

My excited sister...^^;

After buying them, it was 11:10 AM. I checked the salt bread waiting list and it was still far away... Only 25 teams had gone in, with 50 teams still ahead of me...

Okay, time to go eat! I had been debating lunch the day before, so we decided to go eat ramen at “Ramura Seongsu!”

Interesting Image

It's walkable from ‘I'M DONUT’ to ‘Ramura Seongsu,’ so we walked for about 10 minutes. But... isn't it October? Why is it so hot? I almost passed out from the 10-minute walk ;;

Please don't tell me there's a wait here too...

But!!!

Phew, thankfully we were seated right away~ (We arrived around 11:25 AM) ((There was a wait when we came out))

There were quite a variety of flavors and types, indicated by black, white, red, and green. I'm a spicy food lover, so I always choose the spicy option if there is one, so I chose the red one!

<Ramura Seongsu>

- No closed days

Great Photo

Whose idea was it to make a nest with bracken fern and put three quail eggs in it...? It's so cute...ㅠㅠ

It includes chicken thigh, chicken chashu, quail eggs, and bracken fern!

I always eat Ichiran as my first meal when I go to Japan. I've tried several local ramen restaurants, but they're often too unique for my taste, so Ichiran is the most delicious to me.

But!!!!

This beat Ichiran.

The broth is SOOOOO rich and flavorful. It's crazy delicious;; I should have ordered rice to mix in, I'm still regretting itㅠ

For a side, we had Gyepi Gyoza: minced chicken wrapped in chicken skin and fried.

Mysterious Look

Wow, this was bursting with juice... The crispy chicken skin was amazing. (But if you're not big eaters, ladies, order 2 pieces instead of 4, it's very filling...)

After eating, I checked the salt bread waiting list while holding my stomach, and there were about 20 teams left! I drove back near the bakery and waited in the car for 30 minutes...

Attractive Photo

Finally... finally ㅠㅜㅠ I joined the line at 8:50 AM, registered for the waiting list at 9:30 AM, and was called at 1:30 PM... Is salt bread really worth waiting 4 and a half hours for?!

Wow...

(I actually went last week too... I arrived at 9:00 AM, got number 80, and they only had Dirty Chocolate leftㅠ The Dirty Chocolate was also really delicious... so I was curious how the other flavors would taste, and immediately came back this time!)

Today is super ⭐️lucky⭐️! They had only 3 Mentaiko Mayo left, but they had other flavors tooㅠㅠ I wanted to try the Cheongyang Mayo Sausage, but it was sold out…!

Anyway, since I tried Dirty Chocolate last time, this time I got Mentaiko Mayo, Crème brûlée, and Dubai Chocolate ????

Happy Time

I went to Olive Young N to look around (it has about 3 floors and an escalator inside ㄷㄷ). As I was about to buy some things and leave, I saw that you get 1 hour of free parking in the building if you spend over 30,000 won... So since I needed foundation, I bought that too, and ended up spending 58,000 won?

But because I spent over 50,000 won, I got a gift box! Apparently, Olive Young does this sometimes.

It's filled with a variety of things. It was a total jackpot ㅎㅎㅎ If you're buying cosmetics, quickly spend 50,000 won at Olive Young and get one!

Valuable Experience

My sister and I were so drained from the crowds, so we decided to go to Jamsil Hangang Park!

Even though we were full and tired, we were curious about the Mala Cheese Burger at ‘Ryongryong Burger House,’ so we bought one to share...ㅎ

Ta-da!

Fantastic Scene

Mala Cheese Burger (11,900 won)... Honestly, I don't get it... I don't know why the comments are all good. There were tons of people on the street that day, but the store was so empty that I had to double-check on the doorstep to see if they were still open.

The taste was... meh...

Mysterious Look

It was just... something to try once...ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅠ

First of all, mala doesn't go well in a burger, and the bun is made of steamed flower bun dough which doesn't fit the rest of the ingredients. It's just not goodㅜ

I'm glad we only bought one...

BUT!!!! The Condensed Milk Milkshake (6,900 won)

Seriously, get this! Forget the burger, the milkshake is their specialty. It's like drinking melted super 고소 milk gelato through a straw.

Anyway, it's freaking delicious. After taking a sip of the milkshake and a bite of the burger, my sister and I regretted not getting two milkshakes and sharing one each. Seriously ㅜ

Splendid Scene

And then, I was so curious about the donuts that I took out an original one and tried it.

Wow…

Krispy Kreme donuts used to be the best, but these beat them.

The raw donut made with low-temperature fermented dough has lots of air pockets inside, it's so fluffy and not dry at all. It keeps going down.

The slightly sweet Original donut with no distinct flavor is the perfect match for an Americano...ㅠㅠㅠ

Special Moment

Now that I've tried the salt bread, it's good, but I'll definitely buy I'M DONUT again if I have time and am in Seongsu ><

Today's haul.

‘Decibel Bakery’

Mentaiko Mayo, Crème brûlée, Dubai Chocolate

‘I'M DONUT’

Matcha, Original, Sausage x2, Raw French Cruller Cacao,

Glazed x2, Pistachio, Raspberry Cream, Maple Prosciutto,

Honey Makgeolli Cream
