During my trip, I wanted to wrap up my experience with some authentic Jeju cuisine, and I discovered Hanla Galchi, located near Jeju Airport. I was excited to try a variety of dishes all at once, and after visiting, I understood why so many people recommend it as a breakfast spot in Jeju.

1. Hanla Galchi Jeju Airport Branch

Location: 4 Jeongjon 13-gil, Jeju City, Jeju

Operating Hours: Daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM (Last Order at 9:00 PM)

Menu: Hanla Set for 4 people - 159,000 KRW

The accessibility was great since it’s located near the airport, and the spacious interior heightened my expectations even before entering.

Upon entering, I noticed the tables were well-spaced, allowing for a comfortable dining experience. The cleanliness of the place left a good impression.

Once seated, I found disposable aprons provided, which were made of plastic, ensuring I could enjoy my meal without worrying about spills.

There was also a self-service bar neatly organized with various side dishes that guests could help themselves to, which I appreciated.

The menu featured a variety of Jeju dishes, and I was delighted to find a set menu that allowed me to enjoy multiple items at once without hesitation.

Just looking at the food was satisfying, and it truly felt like a renowned breakfast spot in Jeju.

The homemade side dishes heightened my anticipation for the meal. The marinated quail eggs were well-seasoned, offering a savory taste with a subtle sweetness.

The squid jeotgal had a chewy texture with a rich umami flavor that made me crave rice.

The rice topped with abalone looked appetizing, and one spoonful revealed the chewy texture of the abalone paired with the nutty flavor of the rice.

The clear seaweed soup served alongside was impressive with its clean appearance. A spoonful offered a light, oceanic aroma that was soothing.

The grilled black pork ribs were served hot on a sizzling stone plate, keeping them warm throughout the meal.

The ribs were moist and tender, perfectly seasoned with a sweet and salty marinade that complemented the rice.

The set menu also included fresh sliced mackerel, which melted in my mouth without any fishy taste.

The thickly sliced pork belly had a great balance of meat and fat, providing a tender bite with a rich flavor.

The fried mackerel was crispy and visually appealing, promising a light taste.

The main dish, grilled mackerel, was impressively presented and drew everyone's attention to the table.

The mackerel was perfectly grilled, with a crispy exterior and moist, tender flesh.

Finally, the braised mackerel was beautifully sauced, making it look incredibly appetizing. The shrimp inside absorbed the seasoning well, providing a delightful burst of flavor.

With the mackerel also well-seasoned, it melted in my mouth, offering a sweet and spicy flavor that made me want more rice.

Overall, Hanla Galchi Jeju Airport Branch was a satisfying dining experience, allowing me to enjoy the dishes I wanted in Jeju all at once. If you're looking for a last meal near the airport, I highly recommend this breakfast spot in Jeju.
