I've always wanted to visit Daejeon.

When you think of Daejeon, you can't help but think of Seongshim-dang.

I was curious about how delicious it really is.

I absolutely love bread!

So, I decided to visit Daejeon and planned to take public transport.

While I was at it, I looked up some popular restaurants near Daejeon Station.

It seemed a shame to just buy bread, so I searched for famous places to eat.

That's when I came across a restaurant with a striking appearance.

The first meal on a trip is not just a meal; it's an important start that sets the mood for the day.

This time, I carefully searched for a "Daejeon Station restaurant" and found Byeollidalri Tonkatsu.

The more I learned about it, the more I liked it.

Its location was perfect for my travel route, making it an ideal spot for a Daejeon Station restaurant.

The main reason I chose this place was its location.

It was conveniently close to Daejeon Central Station, and the distance from the restaurant was manageable, even for travelers with luggage.

Most importantly, it was almost on the same route as Seongshim-dang, making it easy to grab some bread and head straight to the meal.

It was literally right next to each other!

I was praised for my excellent planning!

After visiting Seongshim-dang, I headed straight to Byeollidalri Tonkatsu.

The restaurant had two floors, and as soon as I walked in, I thought, "This place is better than I expected!"

The spacious table layout made it easy to converse, and the partitioned seats provided a nice private atmosphere.

Especially from the window seats, the view of the Bank-dong street added to the ambiance.

It was a great space to come with friends or for a date.

Byeollidalri Tonkatsu was a fun place to choose from the menu.

One of its biggest advantages was the variety of menu options.

From classic tonkatsu to cheese tonkatsu, pumpkin tonkatsu, and kimchi nabe tonkatsu, there were plenty of options to share.

It shone especially bright when visiting with a group.

The tonkatsu had a solid base, thick meat, and a crispy coating, making it truly delicious.

Since Byeollidalri Tonkatsu is a certified Han-don restaurant, the quality of the meat was noticeably high.

No off-flavors, a rich taste, and juicy meat.

It was the perfect example of classic tonkatsu.

"A place with solid basics never fails"—this saying perfectly fits this restaurant.

Here are my top three recommended dishes:

???? Kimchi Nabe Tonkatsu: Rich broth, spicy enough for a hangover cure, with udon noodles for a filling meal.

???? Tower Kimchi Fried Rice: Visually stunning, fun to break apart, and the cheese combination is perfect.

???? Cheese Tonkatsu: Overwhelmingly stretchy cheese, a foolproof dish.
