A Cozy Late-Night Spot in Nampo-dong: Red Hat Stall #27

Exterior
I'd seen this place pop up often on the stories of foodie friends on social media, and after meaning to visit for a while, I finally made it!
I heard that this place started as a street food stall nearby and then opened up a restaurant. It's so popular that it has a lot of regulars.
Cards accepted.
Location
It's about a 5-minute walk from Jagalchi Station, Exit 3.
Interior
This is a great place for a drink in Nampo-dong.
The restaurant is bigger than it looks from the outside, and there were quite a few tables. The air conditioning was blasting inside, so it was comfortable and cool.
We visited for our fourth round of the night...
We were the last customers that day. When I asked what time they closed, they said 2 AM.
Menu
The menu has a variety of options, including meat, fish, seafood, soups, and seasoned dishes.
When I asked the owner about popular menu items, they said the LA Galbi (Korean BBQ short ribs), grilled tilefish, and Spicy Pollock Roe Soup (Al Tang) are popular.
We ordered the LA Galbi, Spicy Pollock Roe Soup (Al Tang), and Soju.
Side Dishes
The basic side dishes were plentiful.
We got cucumbers, carrots, peaches, and rolled omelet. The rolled omelet was especially delicious, and I ate it like crazy.
LA Galbi (Korean BBQ Short Ribs)
₩25,000
Wow, this is good!
It's not too salty and a little sweet, similar to the marinade for Korean Bulgogi.
Both the meat and rice cakes were tender.
The chewy rice cakes were especially appealing.
Spicy Pollock Roe Soup (Al Tang)
₩20,000
They also give you a portable gas burner.
The Spicy Pollock Roe Soup (Al Tang) is clear and refreshing.
It tasted even better as it simmered.
It was packed with ingredients.
There was a generous amount of pollock roe and milt (gonye).
The tofu was also soft.
I often go to the street food stalls in Nampo-dong for the atmosphere and romance, but the problem is that they are too hot in the summer, and the restrooms are a drawback.
This place has less romance, but it solves those problems!
The restaurant is cool, and it has a restroom, which was convenient.
Red Hat Stall #27 is a great place for a second round or late-night drinks.
The owner is friendly, and the food is delicious, so I think I'll come here often.
A regular customer recommended the Clam Soup, Glass Noodle Dumplings, Spicy Sea Snails, and Grilled Mackerel, so I plan to try them in order!
