A Cozy Dinner Date at Baeksujeong

Hello, this is Boram!
Today, I went on a dinner date with my boyfriend to Baeksujeong, located in the Jamsil Bangeo Food Alley. If you exit through Exit 10 of Jamsil Station and walk towards the Songpa District Office, you'll find it on the second floor.
We ordered the Kamikare and Tonkatsu set (17,500 won) and the Ebi Tempura Set (14,500 won). The Ebi Tempura includes two large shrimp, and the size is impressive. The breadcrumbs are fine, giving it a crispy exterior while keeping the inside moist. The typical greasiness of fried food was completely absent when dipped in the sauce.
The Kamikare Tonkatsu had a thick pork loin topped with Japanese curry, and the tonkatsu was about 2 cm thick, providing a satisfying meat texture. The curry had a strong aroma of spices and a slight spiciness, which was perfect for my taste.
When ordered as a set, it comes with udon, which had a pleasant katsuobushi-flavored broth and soft noodles. Taking a sip of the udon broth after eating the tempura and tonkatsu felt refreshing.
The black sesame salad was also a great starter, enhancing our appetite.
The portions were quite generous, making it just right for two people. The Ebi Tempura Set is around 15,000 won, and the Kamikare Tonkatsu is about 17,000 won. Considering the quality, I found the prices reasonable.
This place is perfect for a date with its affordable prices and high-quality food. The atmosphere is clean, and the staff are friendly, making for a pleasant dining experience.
We only tried the Ebi Tempura and Kamikare Tonkatsu today, but the other menu items looked appealing, so I think I will visit again. I highly recommend Baeksujeong for anyone looking for a date spot in Jamsil!
