A Cozy Dining Experience in Apgujeong

Originally, I planned to just grab a coffee in Apgujeong Rodeo and part ways. However, as I walked, I found myself feeling a bit hungry. The chilly breeze along Dosan-daero made me crave something warm, so I decided to head to Mirchai9 instead. On days like this, my decisions tend to come quickly.
Before entering, I hesitated for a moment. I had casually searched for restaurants on Dosan-daero, but standing in front of the place made me think twice. I was unsure how crowded it would be and didn't want to wait unnecessarily. Still, it had been a while since I visited an Apgujeong Chinese restaurant, so I thought I should give it a try. I can't be the only one who feels a bit nervous when walking in, right?
As we settled in and ordered, the staff's calm tone put me at ease. Sitting down and looking at the menu, we were in that perfect state of hunger where we wanted something filling but not too heavy. I paused before ordering, feeling like the staff was patiently waiting for us, which made me take my time in choosing. There are many chaotic places in Gangnam, so moments like this tend to stick in my memory.
While waiting for our food, we filled the time with conversation, though we didn't have much to say that day. Our chat drifted from weekend plans to a sudden desire to travel, before circling back to how tiring the day had been. Strangely, on days like this, the food seems to take longer to go down. I didn't have high expectations for an Apgujeong restaurant; I just wanted a comfortable meal, and the atmosphere suited that perfectly.
The atmosphere at our table and the noise from the neighboring table were just right. The people next to us were finishing their meal, and their conversation wasn't too loud. Whenever the staff cleared plates, they did so quietly, which made me eat more quietly as well. While this might not seem crucial, it makes a noticeable difference on days when I'm not feeling well. So, when considering what to eat around Apgujeong Rodeo, I think about the atmosphere too.
As we finished our meal and stepped outside, it had gotten even colder. We ended up walking a bit more along Dosan-daero before catching a taxi. Nothing special happened during the bill payment, but the smoothness of the experience made it a pleasant day. Sometimes, the term 'Gangnam restaurant' feels grand, but that day, I simply remembered it as a quiet dinner.
Even when I got home, there wasn't a lingering spiciness in my mouth, but I felt like the pace of the day had slowed down a bit. I often avoid the Apgujeong Rodeo area because I worry about crowds, but sometimes it’s nice to step in like this. If I have another ambiguous end to a meeting, I might just pop into a nearby place again. I'll leave it at that for today.
