Hello, this is TaeTaeMom.

During my trip to Sokcho, there was a dish I really wanted to try: Sokcho Water Crab Soup.

Just hearing the name gives it a special vibe, right? So I decided, "Today’s lunch is Water Crab Soup!" and headed to Byeoljubune Water Crab Soup.

When traveling, it's essential to have a meal that warms you from the inside. Ultimately, it was a fantastic choice.

Parking was spacious and worry-free. Many popular restaurants in Sokcho have limited parking, but Byeoljubune Water Crab Soup has a large parking lot, making it easy to park, especially when traveling with kids.

As soon as we arrived, I felt, "Ah, this place is indeed famous." The exterior had that vibe that made it feel like a recommended spot, and it was clear to everyone that it was a must-try restaurant.

Upon entering, I was greeted by a surprisingly clean and pleasant interior. The spacing between tables was just right, and the overall cleanliness made it a comfortable space for family visits.

Without hesitation, I ordered two servings of Water Crab Soup. After all, coming all the way to Sokcho without trying this dish would be a shame. Especially since Sokcho Water Crab Soup is one of the representative dishes of the area, my expectations were high.

While waiting for the soup, the side dishes were served. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the side dishes were also delicious, especially the soy sauce marinated snow crab, which was incredible. It was not salty at all, and the flavors were clean—definitely a rice thief!

The taste of the Water Crab Soup was astonishing. The broth was clear yet rich, with no fishy taste at all. The addition of bean sprouts made the soup refreshing and comforting.

The crab meat was tender and melted in my mouth, making it easy to eat. The clean taste of the broth paired perfectly with the crab, making it hard to put down my spoon.

This dish was also great for kids. My children enjoyed it without any issues, as the broth was not overly stimulating. This kind of menu is crucial for family trips.

As I continued eating, I found myself craving the broth. Initially, I thought it was light, but as I ate more, the deep umami flavor emerged. By the end, I thought, "This would be perfect for a hangover!" This is a hallmark of a truly delicious restaurant.

In summary, the broth was deep and clean, with no fishy taste, suitable for kids, and the parking was convenient with a pleasant interior. These four aspects made for a genuinely satisfying meal.

If you visit Sokcho, the Water Crab Soup at Byeoljubune is a must-try! This warm bowl of soup created lasting memories from my Sokcho trip.
