Kim Min-ha Reflects on Lee Jun-ho's Heartfelt Confession in 'Typhoon Corporation'

Actress Kim Min-ha of tvN's 'Typhoon Corporation' shared her touching feelings as she looked back on the scene where Lee Jun-ho confesses to being her 'Sangsaman' (Corporate Man).
In the 'Typhoon Corporation Episodes 3-4 Commentary' video released on the 23rd, the two actors revisited key scenes from the drama, sharing lingering emotions.
The ending of episode 3, which warmed a winter night with the line “Become my Sangsaman,” shows Kang Tae-poong (played by Lee Jun-ho), the new CEO, visiting Oh Mi-sun (played by Kim Min-ha) at her home on a cold winter night.
As soon as the scene appeared, both actors reacted with “Ah~ that was so good,” reminiscing about the atmosphere at the time.
In the drama, Oh Mi-sun says, “Why are you here at this hour? It’s cold,” expressing her concern.
Kang Tae-poong responds, “Don’t go to the interview tomorrow. I have something to give you,” and hands her a business card.
The card shows the title ‘Employee’ which was handwritten to ‘CEO’
Kim Min-ha recalled, “That handwriting was sad. When I saw ‘CEO,’ I was overwhelmed.”
Lee Jun-ho also couldn't take his eyes off the screen, saying, “To think how hard these kids are trying to survive.”
The line that is most mentioned and is considered the best scene “Will you be the 'Sangsaman' of Typhoon Corporation?” also became a hot topic once again.
Moved by Kang Tae-poong’s words, “Oh Mi-sun, will you be the 'Sangsaman' of Typhoon Corporation?” Oh Mi-sun sheds tears.
Watching this, Lee Jun-ho exclaimed in the commentary, “I was so happy when Mi-sun cried like that. It really makes me want to cry.”
In particular, Lee Jun-ho explained the emotional arc of his character Kang Tae-poong, adding, “For Tae-poong, he thought that if this company disappeared, his father’s existence itself would disappear… He always had Oh Mi-sun in mind.”
The connection of fate that restores each other's dreams was emphasized, given that Oh Mi-sun was the one who stayed with the company until the very end.
Kim Min-ha confessed about the scene, “It felt almost like receiving a proposal.”
She continued, “Before that, one or two people were leaving the company, and I was desperate to the point where I wondered if this company was really going to disappear, but with the unexpected offer, it was a moment of meeting hope that ‘we haven’t collapsed.’”
To this, Lee Jun-ho added his emotions, saying, “It’s about being able to fulfill a lifelong dream.”
Meanwhile, the most recent 4th episode recorded an average of 9.0% and a peak of 9.8% for households nationwide, and an average of 8.5% in the metropolitan area, breaking its own highest viewership ratings.
The 2049 target viewership rating also ranked first in its time slot, proving its popularity.
On Netflix, it not only maintained its top spot in the domestic ‘Top 10 Series’ but also entered the top 5 in the global non-English TV category, attracting the attention of fans around the world.
In the end, the reason for its success is the ‘power of empathy.’
The desperation for dreams, the sense of responsibility to protect the company, and the warm heart towards people.
All of these emotions are vividly captured in the unique subject matter of ‘Sangsaman’.
This may be the reason why not only Korean viewers but also global fans are enthusiastic about ‘Typhoon Corporation.’
The depth of emotion in one scene could be reaffirmed in the actors’ sincere commentary.
Winter night warmed by the ending: “Become a 'Sangsaman' for me.”
“Will you be a 'Sangsaman' for Typhoon Corporation?”
“It felt like a proposal… a moment of finding hope.”
Ratings and global rankings all in ‘good spirits’ mode.
In the end, the reason for its success is the ‘power of empathy.’
