During new employee training, HR gifted us framed prints of photos taken during the lectures. The best thing about new hires is their curiosity. Their eagerness to learn and try new things is contagious, spreading to those around them. In an organization accustomed to routine or focused on expertise, the bright eyes of these newcomers remind us of a time when we, too, were eager to absorb everything. It reignites the meaning of our work, and I am no exception.

I met with a client in Seosan for a new campaign. They are a second-generation family making *hangwa* (traditional Korean sweets) with ginger, and their expertise is remarkable. The ginger, which you might expect to be spicy, melts into the *hangwa*, creating a unique and subtle flavor. It’s the kind of treat that keeps you reaching for more. It was a time to learn about the terrain of Seosan and the reasons why ginger and garlic grow well there. Learning new things through work is truly enjoyable.

I arranged a gathering for colleagues from a team going through a difficult period. Thanks to sponsorship, a foreign colleague gifted us a non-commercial version of Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor made for diplomatic purposes, and it was excellent. The characteristic strong, spicy flavor of the clear aroma mellowed with age, resulting in a deep, rich taste. It was a valuable experience.
'A Namsan Walk with a Friend, Welcoming Autumn'
I walked a long way with a friend who had recovered from an illness, from Dongguk University, up to the Namsan peak, and down to Haebangchon. We shared many stories and experienced Seoul embracing autumn. A wine fair was taking place at the Namsan Tower, which enhanced the atmosphere. We enjoyed the unexpected good fortune, had dinner together, and walked and walked some more. Despite the fatigue washing over me from the morning, I was met with the thought of how lovely the autumn walk was as soon as I opened my eyes, so I was glad.
