Goyang Art Festival 2026 - Urban Synopsis
The 'Goyang Art Festival' is currently being held in Goyang City for its second edition this year.
This festival is taking place at Aram Nuri, Oulim Nuri Art Museum, and Aram Square,
and it expanded to Ilsan Lake Park's singing fountain from June 6 to 7.
The 'Goyang Art Festival' is a large-scale art exhibition festival organized by the Goyang Cultural Foundation,
running from May 13 to August 2, 2026.
This year’s theme is '2026 - Urban Synopsis',
and it is being held not only in Goyang City but also in Paju and Uijeongbu, covering the northern Gyeonggi region.
The main exhibition titled 'The Chronicle of the City We Write' features ten participating artists.
The exhibition aims to depict the intersection of urban life and art, viewing the northern Gyeonggi region as an expanded art museum.
The exhibition at Aram Museum runs from May 13 to August 2 and includes the main exhibition and a collection exhibition titled 'Reading Room 1286'.
The exhibition space has been transformed into a city with nine sections, where each artist expresses their narrative.
The city, layered with traces of life, becomes a record of the past while continuously evolving.
The stories of the city are familiar landscapes for those living there.
The exhibition features detailed explanations of each artist's work, with some pieces designed for interactive experiences.
The exhibition is a platform for voices of marginalized existences and explores the geopolitical landscapes of boundaries.
