The cherry blossoms at Gobok Reservoir are in full bloom, delighting citizens who enjoy walks and drives.

Gobok Reservoir's cherry blossoms bloom about three days later than those along the Jocheon River in nearby Jochiwon, making it a great option for staggered cherry blossom outings.

Everyone has their own way to enjoy the cherry blossoms, but I particularly love viewing their reflections.

Shall we explore the cherry blossoms at Gobok Reservoir along with their reflections?

The roads leading to Gobok Reservoir are also lined with cherry blossoms, making it perfect for a scenic drive.

After parking at the embankment parking lot, I take a stroll to admire the surrounding cherry blossoms.

The cherry blossoms along the roadside blend beautifully with forsythia, evoking a paradise-like scenery.

Gobok Reservoir stretches long from east to west, and along the northern side, there is a wooden deck path about 3.8 km long that runs from the visitor center to the embankment, providing a pleasant walking experience as if walking on water.

This spot, where the deck path begins, is considered the most beautiful part of the cherry blossom trail at Gobok Reservoir and is a popular photo zone.

On the other hand, the road leading south is shared by vehicles and pedestrians, making it somewhat inconvenient for leisurely walks despite its beautiful reflections.

To enjoy the beauty of the reflections, I choose the southern path instead of the deck path.

Gobok Reservoir is a large agricultural reservoir located between Yongam-ri and Gobok-ri in Yeonseomyeon, Sejong Special Autonomous City. It was constructed to supply agricultural water and was completed on June 29, 1989.

With a catchment area of 86.5 hectares and a service area of 762 hectares, it has a maximum depth of 14.75 meters and a storage capacity of 4,429,000 tons.

As I walk south from the embankment, the view of the cherry blossoms and their reflections across the water is truly stunning.

Approximately 800 meters from the embankment, there is a viewpoint deck with parking, perfect for enjoying the scenery of the reservoir.

The beauty of the willows dipping into the water is nothing short of artistic.

Across the reservoir, the cherry blossoms bloom in rows along the deck path, appearing magnificent even from a distance.

In the forest to the left, there is the Minrakjeong Pavilion, but it is somewhat obscured by pine trees and cherry blossoms.

As I walk, I stop intermittently to admire the reflections of the deck path and cherry blossoms across the water.

I am captivated by the beauty of the scenery visible through the cherry blossoms, taking photos repeatedly.

Sometimes I zoom in for a closer view.

Oh, this time I can see the long cherry blossom path and deck path extending beautifully.

How fortunate I am to enjoy such a wonderful sight alone...

This landscape is too precious to experience by oneself.

The long cherry blossom path, deck path, and reflections... despite being a recurring view, it never gets boring.

The scenery of the long cherry blossom path and deck path I see now is the culmination of today's view at Gobok Reservoir.

Now, I can see Yongam-ri village starting to appear.

At the end of the cherry blossom path lies Yongam-ri village.

The construction site visible halfway up the mountain is for the Sejong-Pocheon expressway.

This highway will pass behind the mountain of Yongam-ri.

Once completed, transportation in Sejong City will become even more convenient.

Before I know it, I have arrived at the lotus plant garden (in front of the visitor center), where the deck path begins.

Looking back at the cherry blossoms from the deck path gives a completely different feeling.

The cherry blossoms I passed earlier look like black-and-white photographs in the backlight.

Here is the view of Gobok Reservoir from the deck path at the lotus plant garden.

Seeing the size of Gobok Reservoir in numbers didn't quite convey its scale, but witnessing it visually is impressive.

The fresh green buds emerging around the willows near the Yongam-ri village hall add to the vibrancy of the scene.

I conclude my cherry blossom reflection walk at Gobok Reservoir at the lotus plant garden, which serves as both the starting and ending point of the deck path.

Currently, the cherry blossom bloom rate at Gobok Reservoir is around 90%, nearing full bloom.

Considering the nature of cherry blossoms, it seems that the petals will soon start to fall.

Even as they fall, cherry blossoms are as beautiful as when they are fully bloomed.

Why not take a cherry blossom outing to Gobok Reservoir before they fall?
