Discovering the Joys of Tourism in Dangjin City

As the weather warms up, many of us are starting to plan camping trips and outings.
It seems like everyone has tourism plans in mind, and today I have some exciting news that will be particularly useful for those living outside of Dangjin City.
This news is about the 'Tourism Taxi' pilot program, a support policy for non-residents of Dangjin.
Shall we take a closer look at what it's all about?
Dangjin City is home to many hidden gems that those living in other municipalities may not be aware of.
For instance, the Myeoncheon Fortress, built during the Joseon Dynasty in 1439, is a historical site with deep roots.
It was completed during the reign of King Sejong, who is often referred to as a great ruler.
In addition to this ancient fortification, there are numerous other historical sites.
There is the Gildong Buddha statue, designated as treasure number 409, and while the exact date of its establishment is unclear, it is believed to have been built during the Goryeo Dynasty.
The Daeungjeon Hall houses a bell that is designated as Cultural Heritage Material No. 219 in South Chungcheong Province, and the Yuligwangjeon Hall contains the Medicine Buddha statue, classified as Cultural Heritage No. 111.
Dangjin City is rich in historical landmarks, making it a fun place to explore.
Thus, for those planning to visit Dangjin, I would like to introduce the 'Tourism Taxi' support program.
In celebration of the 2025-2026 Visit Chungnam Year, Dangjin City has launched a pilot program for 'Tourism Taxis' to enhance convenience for individual tourists.
This service aims to address the inconvenience of public transportation to tourist sites and provide customized transport for small groups.
The program is scheduled to run from April to October 2026.
Tourists can board the tourism taxi after disembarking at Hapdeok Station or the Dangjin Intercity Bus Terminal and can freely choose their itinerary to visit popular attractions like Sapgyoho Tourist Area, Solmoe Sacred Site, and Myeoncheon Fortress.
Now, let's discuss the most important part: the economic support involved.
Dangjin City will subsidize 50% of the fare.
The costs for tourists are approximately 45,000 won for 4 hours and 65,000 won for 6 hours per taxi, meaning that if three people share the ride, the cost per person is about 15,000 won, making it an affordable way to enjoy Dangjin's famous sites.
To take advantage of this benefit, reservations must be made through the 'Loyqu' app or website at least three days in advance.
By scanning the QR code attached, you will be directed to the website, or you can use the provided link.
Once on the site, click on Dangjin City to find various travel packages available via taxi.
With a 6-hour travel option priced at 65,000 won, splitting the cost among several people makes it very affordable to explore Dangjin City freely.
For those interested, be sure to visit Dangjin within the designated period and enjoy your travels.
Today, I shared this information for those planning a free trip to Dangjin City. Don't miss out on the 'Half-Price Taxi' support policy and make the most of your visit!
