Come enjoy the water play area in our neighborhood park.
From the third week of July, the summer vacation for elementary schools begins.
Kindergarten breaks follow, giving us more time to spend with the kids.
The summer season makes our local water play area the perfect getaway!
In early July, the water play areas at Hyangdong Sports Park, Jichuk Neighborhood Park, Jungsan Sports Park, and Siksia Central Park opened one after another.
Among them, I enjoyed the water play at Siksia Central Park.
On July 23, the monsoon ends, marking the hottest period of the summer.
It has been about two months since the start of summer, and as the rainy season comes to an end, the heat is expected to intensify.
With longer days and tropical nights, our neighborhood park becomes the best place to relax.
The lush green forest paths are perfect for walking and exercise, and during the day, the water play area is open.
Siksia Central Park covers an area of 310,000 square meters.
It features an outdoor stage and grassy plaza at the center, surrounded by forest paths, a dog playground, and a children's playground.
Located in the densely populated area of Siksia-dong, it serves as a resting place for many residents.
The water play area at Siksia Central Park operates from July 3 to August 16, from 10 AM to 5 PM (closed for lunch from 12 PM to 1 PM).
Every hour, the area operates for 50 minutes followed by a 10-minute break. It is closed every Thursday and during rain.
As summer arrives, the water play area opens, attracting even more visitors.
Last weekend, which was a three-day holiday, the water play area was bustling with families from early morning.
The water play area features various water facilities, including combination play structures, water baskets, slides, and fountains shaped like turtles and ducks, with a maximum depth of 30 cm.
When the water basket shakes, children rush to position themselves to catch the water bombs.
On clear days, it can get hot, and during the monsoon, the high humidity adds to the discomfort. While planned summer vacations are great, sometimes a simple getaway in your daily life is just what you need!
Enjoy a cool summer at your local neighborhood park. Siksia Central Park has summer flowers blooming along the walking paths.
The water play area will be open until August 16.
