A Romantic Stroll Through Naksan Park and Ihwa Mural Village

Hello everyone!
This is your partner in crime.
With the weather finally cooling down, my partner and I spontaneously decided to take a walk during our Yeonnam-dong date.
Here are some photos from Yeonnam-dong.
This time, we headed to Naksan Park and Ihwa Mural Village.

We've been to Seochon and Bukchon so often that we wanted to explore somewhere new.
While searching on YouTube, we found a place worth visiting and suddenly set off towards Naksan Park.
The YouTube channel we referenced was by "너도가봤으면해" (Neodo Gabwasseumyeonhae - I Hope You've Been There Too).
I often refer to this creator when exploring different parts of Seoul.
The weather was great that day, and we wanted to enjoy it.
So, we decided to go to Naksan Park.
Honestly, I wasn't planning on posting about it while walking, so I don't have many photos. I hope you understand.
This is Naksan Park, which we visited. You can reach Naksan Park by taking the subway to Hansung University Station or by car, as there are many public parking lots nearby.

We used the Samseong-dong Public Parking Lot.
It has about 100 parking spaces, and the parking fee is ₩150 per 5 minutes, which is ₩1,800 per hour.
After parking, it's a comfortable 15-20 minute walk to Naksan Park and nearby attractions like Gaeppul, making it a perfectly located parking lot.
Since it's a beautiful place for sunsets, I recommend visiting around dusk. The Naksan Fortress Wall was also featured in the drama "Crash Landing on You".
Perhaps that's why there were quite a few foreigners with guides.
For your information, Seoul is surrounded by four mountains: Inwangsan, Bugaksan, Naksan, and Namsan.
Naksan is the lowest of the four, making it the easiest and most accessible of the city wall trails.
Whether you pass through Marronnier Park from Hyehwa Station, Heunginjimun Park from Dongdaemun Station, or use the parking lot I mentioned earlier,
You'll need to walk for about 15-20 minutes.
If you're coming from Hyehwa Station Exit 2, I recommend visiting Cafe Travel.
If you visit Naksan Park, you'll find the beautifully painted Ihwa Mural Village, a popular filming location for dramas and movies.

Ihwa Village is somewhat similar to a mural village in Busan (I can't recall the name), but apart from the murals, there's a unique place called Snail Alley.
This place has a unique structure and is often featured in dramas and movies. There's an espresso bar called Odeoksae in Snail Alley,
But when we went, it was past 6 PM, so it was closed. We just took pretty pictures in front of the shop.
We'll definitely try the coffee next time. Going down from Snail Alley, you'll find Ihwadong Bakery (highly recommend the olive bread) and dessert cafe Kami (highly recommend the seasonal desserts),
But we didn't go down and ate dinner up top. We ate at Yeosu Seodae, and I'll be posting about it separately soon.
We arrived at the Samseong-dong Public Parking Lot around 5:30 PM, and as we walked up towards Naksan Park for about 10 minutes,
There were more people than expected, and we were able to see a beautiful view.
As you can see in the photos, the fortress walls have different shapes depending on when they were built.

The view here isn't the familiar Han River view,
But the residential view also has its own charm.
After parking at the Samseong-dong Public Parking Lot and walking up towards Naksan Fortress Wall,
You can go to a place with lots of people, but just a little further up,
You can enjoy a view like this.
Apart from the fortress wall, there's the Hanyangdoseong Museum near Heunginjimun Park,
Where you can see various stories related to the fortress walls. If you have time, I recommend taking a look around.
Also, along Naksan Fortress Wall, there are several cafes like Cafe San 1-1, Gaeppul, and Book Reading Cat,
But the most famous seems to be Gaeppul. It's located at the highest point and has many people.
Enjoying the night view from the terrace with desserts or beer would be absolutely perfect.
Isn't it really pretty? Hehe.
When you go up, you'll see a lot of people taking pictures while looking at the outside scenery.

We also took some photos.
We just kept exclaiming how pretty it was and kept walking and taking pictures.
Then we went to Yeosu Seodae in Snail Alley for dinner.
After a meal that felt like it was made with a mother's touch, we moved back to Naksan Fortress Wall to get our car.
I'll be posting about Yeosu Seodae separately. This is a photo I took while moving. It's a shop called Darak, and we decided to visit it sometime.

There are many photo spots everywhere along the fortress wall.
Finally, we took pictures with the night view as a background and headed to the parking lot.
That day, we said "really good" or "pretty" countless times,
And we kept saying that this place has a feeling that it would increase the attraction and charm between couples who are just starting out or in the flirting stage.
The atmosphere was that good, it wasn't too difficult to walk, and the view was so great,
It's a place I would recommend to couples or those who want to take pretty pictures.

Autumn is slowly approaching, and I'll be introducing many places I visit.
If you know any good places for walking in Seoul in the fall, please let me know, and I'll try to visit them.
Thank you!!
