A Rainy Wednesday Outing: Exploring Gyeongdong Market with a Friend

Hello, this is Narsha!
Even though it was a rainy Wednesday, I went to Gyeongdong Market with my college friend.
Although it was raining, I really enjoyed exploring the market with someone I like.
There's an energy you can only get at the market.
Despite the rain, I felt energized by the vibrant atmosphere.
The energy I receive from friends I like and care about, and even the energy from the environment itself!
I also felt happy buying food that I wanted to share with my loved ones.
Let me show you my Gyeongdong Market sketch.

Our first stop was the Chungcheongdo Restaurant.
It seems like a well-established, old restaurant.
The set menu was a very reasonable 6,000 won (including grilled mackerel!).
We also ordered a fried egg for 1,000 won.
Kimchi soup was served, and there were many kinds of kimchi.
This place would be great for those who want to eat home-style meals and a variety of kimchi side dishes.

After a satisfying meal,
we took a walk to Gyeongdong Market as a form of exercise.
I didn't know that Cheongnyangni Market and Gyeongdong Market are connected.
I just followed my friend's lead.
Our second stop was Daeho Fried Dumplings.
It's a famous place, apparently featured on YouTube.
I got 2,000 won worth to-go for a friend.
Right across from there, I bought some twisted doughnuts.
It felt like going to the market with my mom when I was little.

The third stop was Cafe Soop, located on the 2nd floor of Gyeongdong Market's Youth Mall.
We enjoyed coffee after shopping.
And there's a library right next door!
There was also an indoor playground for children.
I think it's a great example of a win-win situation that revitalizes traditional markets.

I really enjoyed the pleasant market outing.
I also bought nuts for my family and headed home.
My bag was heavy, but my heart was full of happiness.
Have a happy weekend!
Thank you for joining me today.
