A Delightful Date in Insadong

On a long-awaited date with my wife in Insadong, we discovered a unique traditional Korean umbrella shop called Yuwolsuryun, located on the newly renovated Samji-gil.
The name is impressive, but the sign is quite striking as well.
It's special to find a shop dedicated to traditional umbrellas, which seem like great gifts for foreigners and seniors alike.
While we can open the umbrellas ourselves, it's convenient to preview their overall appearance without the hassle of unfolding them.
I haven't seen such a presentation in department stores; there's definitely something to learn here.
The charm of the traditional Korean designs is captivating, and the fact that all items can be used as umbrellas with superior fabric quality compared to other products makes it even more appealing.
With various designs inspired by traditional Korean motifs like Dancheong patterns, moon lattice shapes, and mother-of-pearl inlay, I found myself struggling to make a decision.
The packaging is also great for gifting, as they provide cases and shopping bags.
I purchased a few items to gift to acquaintances and seniors.
Next time, I should return to buy gifts for my foreign friends and buyers.
Among the items I bought, I saved a Dancheong and a mother-of-pearl inlay umbrella to gift to seniors during the Lunar New Year.
If someone asks for gift recommendations for foreigners or seniors, I believe this would be a fantastic suggestion.
