A Century of Time Travel on Jeongdong-gil

Jeongdong-gil, a 1km path stretching from Deoksugung's Daehanmun to Sinmunno, retains the appearance of late Joseon-era Hanyang.
The name 'Jeongdong' originates from the location of the tomb of Queen Sin-deok, the consort of King Taejo Lee Seong-gye.
Walking along the Deoksugung stone wall, a popular dating spot in Seoul, you will pass lush trees.
The journey begins at Jeongdong Church, the first Protestant building established in 1897. As you ascend the small hill on the left, you will find the newly renovated Seoul Museum of Art, symbolizing the cultural street.
One of the best walking paths in Seoul, the Jeongdong Cultural Festival, held every October, is a signature street festival.
