Winter Indoor Attractions in Seocheon

Winter has arrived.
It’s the season when we tend to huddle up due to the cold.
But we can't just hide away, right?
So, the alternative is indoor attractions.
Seocheon has quite a few indoor tourist spots.
Today, I want to introduce Songrim Donghwa, which can be explored in about 10 minutes and is free to enjoy.
Although Seocheon is a smaller city than expected, it has many interesting places to visit.
There were quite a few spots that made me think, "I didn’t know this place existed in Seocheon!"
One of the easily accessible places is Songrim Donghwa.
Nearby, you can find Janghang Songrim Natural Recreation Forest and Janghang Skywalk.
It’s just a 1-2 minute drive or about a 5-minute walk to Seacurium.
It’s a place where you can enjoy multiple attractions at once.
Moreover, there’s a spot nearby where you can observe migratory birds during winter.
Winter is the best time to see them!
Exhibition Hours
Monday to Sunday (No holidays)
09:00 - 17:40
Last admission is at 17:30.
The first space...
The same exhibition was here the last time I visited.
However, I find myself coming back...
Even when I think there’s nothing new, I notice something different each time I visit.
The second space...
This area features media art.
It seems that media art has become a standard in this era.
There are bean bags for comfortable viewing.
Every time I come here, I think, "I should sit there!" but somehow I never do.
I promise myself to sit down next time.
In the third space...
There’s a different vibe compared to the first two.
It evokes a sense of nature.
It reminds me of the forests in Jeju.
Maybe it depicts a dreamlike forest inhabited by elves?
It feels like a blend of a real forest and a fantastical one, like from the movie Avatar.
Experiencing the purple hues of Seocheon...
Perhaps it’s because Janghang Songrim Natural Recreation Forest is famous for Macmoon Dong?
In summer, this area is said to be filled with purple flowers.
I wanted to visit this year, but I missed the timing.
I hope to see the full bloom of Macmoon Dong next year.
Right next to it is Janghang Skywalk.
The entrance fee is 4,000 won, and you receive a 2,000 won gift certificate for Seocheon.
The gift certificate can be used at various places in Seocheon, but taking a break at the nearby café is also a nice option.
