Warm Community Support for Seniors in Sinan County

Hello, this is Sinan County.
In Docho-myeon, Sinan County,
we are operating a free meal program
to support the healthy eating habits of seniors
who are struggling financially.
On July 14th,
63 students from Docho High School
participated in a volunteer activity
to provide warm meals to seniors.
This was a meaningful time
to share warmth and kindness.
The free meal program for seniors
in Docho-myeon
provides meals at no cost
to 69 low-income seniors
who may skip meals due to financial difficulties.
Beyond just providing meals,
we check in on their health and well-being,
creating a warm community welfare practice.
The students involved in the volunteer activity
received safety training and guidelines
before personally visiting the seniors' homes.
They delivered carefully prepared meals
and checked in on the seniors,
sharing warm greetings.
Through this experience,
they felt the importance of connecting generations
and the joy of small acts of kindness.
The students expressed,
"Visiting the seniors and delivering meals
made me realize that small actions
can bring great joy."
They added,
"I want to continue participating in community service."
Docho-myeon plans to continue various welfare projects
alongside the free meal program for seniors.
By collaborating with the community,
we aim to create a warm community
where sharing and caring become part of daily life.
We look forward to continuing our efforts
to build a happy future together with our youth.
