Unexpected Fun: Discovering a Hidden Gem at Guryongpo Gwamegi Culture Center

It rained so much today, but we were already on our trip... After searching and searching, we ended up at the Guryongpo Gwamegi Culture Center! Honestly, I'm not usually a fan of museums or culture centers, but the Gwamegi Culture Center is surprisingly well-equipped, almost like a free kids cafe in Pohang!
There's a good outdoor parking area, but no indoor parking. It's not far from Homigot in Pohang.
I wasn't expecting it, but they even have strollers available for rent.
It was a hassle because of the rain, but I was able to borrow one right away with just a signature.
On the first floor, you can see a variety of fish. They were closer than I expected, and my baby was fascinated! They were close enough to touch if you wanted to! But we didn't touch them, to protect the fish, of course!
There was also media showing the fish, which my baby found really interesting.
Taking the elevator to the second floor, there's a block play and book play area where you can take off your shoes!
My child doesn't really like books, so we didn't look at them, but the space was bigger than I thought, and especially loved the block play area!
Though my baby didn't really enjoy it, we tried the captain experience.
Mommy wanted to take pictures, but I gave up quickly... haha.
The fish catching and puzzle matching activities seem like they'd be more fun for older kids! My child just enjoyed pressing the buttons, rather than actually playing the game. LOL
And on the floor above that, there's a ball pit and wooden block play area!
I was even more surprised at how well the Guryongpo Gwamegi Culture Center was set up like a kids cafe.
From catching fish on the screen to coloring and sand play...
Calling it a Pohang kids cafe seems more accurate than calling it a Gwamegi Culture Center! lol
There's even an observatory on the rooftop, which is great for running around :-)
I was so satisfied! I highly recommend the Guryongpo Gwamegi Culture Center in Pohang as a place to visit with your baby! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
