The Poetry of Solitude: Insights from Poet Shin Dal-ja

Shin Dal-ja, Poet
On Human Loneliness
Everyone has a "shade of life." I attended a lecture by poet Shin Dal-ja on "Human Loneliness" at the Geochang Shin Dal-ja Literary Museum.
The museum in Geochang hosted this precious event where we discussed the topic of loneliness with the esteemed poet.
What are your thoughts on "human loneliness"?
Many attendees from various walks of life, aged from their 30s to 70s, gathered to hear the lecture.
Just as a single spoon can cast a shadow, where there is life, there is shade, and that shade is loneliness.
The exhibition featured the life story and photographs of Shin Dal-ja, who had many friendships with great literary figures in our country.
Loneliness is not something to be ashamed of. It is a word that is not easily spoken. It represents the unhealed "cry within me." I slowly read through the poet's collection.
"How to Manage Loneliness" involves reconciliation and balance, cultivating positive thoughts (good ideas, good deeds, songs, and laughter) to nourish my life and energy.
For an hour and a half, the poet spoke without pause, and her passion and sincere words will linger in my heart for a long time.
Here are some moments captured during the event:
