Spring Blossoms at Myungja Flower Garden in Seosan

In the heart of spring, I captured the daytime scenery of Myungja Flower Garden located in Ajeong 2-ri, Seosan.
At a time when the sunlight gently falls, the garden is adorned with red and white Myungja flowers, double cherry blossoms, weeping willows, and rhododendrons.
The vibrant and calming colors blend harmoniously, filling the atmosphere with the essence of spring.

In Ajeong 2-ri, Seosan, every spring, the red Myungja flowers transform the village landscape.
This place is not a large tourist attraction but rather a community space centered around a flower garden nurtured by the residents.
Once known for the 'Myungja Flower Festival,' the area used to attract many visitors, but this year, I did not see any banners announcing the festival.

The Myungja flower has been recognized by various names due to its striking colors, such as 'Gaksik Flower' and 'Sandanghwa,' adding folk significance.
Recently, new interpretations have emerged focusing on the flower's meanings.
However, in Ajeong 2-ri's Myungja Flower Garden, the emphasis is on the time and effort of those who have planted and cared for the flowers.
Even during my visit, there were no special event announcements, but the garden was well-maintained, confirming that the residents manage it routinely.

Myungja Flower Garden in Ajeong 2-ri, Seosan, cannot be evaluated solely based on the presence of a festival.
What started as a personal garden has blossomed into a communal activity, creating the current Myungja Flower Garden.
While the festival was one way to promote this space to outsiders, its essence lies in the continuous care and participation of the residents.
