Shinan-gun Jido-eup Conducts Major Cleanup Ahead of Chuseok Holiday
Jido-eup (Town Mayor Park Sang-gyu) in Shinan-gun conducted a major cleanup to ensure a pleasant environment for returning visitors and residents during the upcoming Chuseok holiday.
The 'Chuseok Holiday Cleanup', held on September 1st, saw the participation of approximately 80 people, including representatives from related organizations, social groups, residents, and students.
The cleanup focused on high-traffic areas such as the main roads in the town center, the traditional market, and the Jeotgal (fermented seafood) Town area.
Participants collected roadside trash and household waste and tidied up various locations, creating a clean and neat environment in Jido-eup for returning visitors.
Jido-eup Mayor Park Sang-gyu stated, "Chuseok is a precious holiday for many to spend with family. Providing a clean environment is, I believe, a way of conveying our warm hearts to everyone. We will continue to promote environmental cleanup activities together with the residents."
This cleanup went beyond simple environmental maintenance, serving as an opportunity to promote community harmony and ensure that both returning visitors and residents can enjoy a bountiful and safe Chuseok holiday.
